help me make my students feel special
Spring Break was great! Most of you know I am a proud aunt. She is beautiful!! Matt and I had a great time at Gatlinburg! You can read his blog for more details!
This week is crazy because we are SAT testing at school. I thought it would be an easy laid back week for me. I was wrong. I am tired and bored. We are having a good week though. When they are finished we go outside and play tag. The weather has been awesome!

What was your favortie elementary memory? Was there anything that one of your teachers did to make you feel extra special?
I love having new ideas to brighten my students day!

Kickball, and Pizza day -
I have a really good one...my second grade teacher was awesome. Every Friday she would give out two awards, one for the "Citizen of the Week" and one for the "Special Person". Each week it would be a different student and by the end of the year everyone had a chance to be at least one of them. It was always really exciting and fun! But maybe that's too juvenile for 4th graders! -

I always remember when we made a newspaper. One group had the classifieds, one had the cartoons (where they got to pick from the cartoons that everyone in the class submitted), the news section, all about things that happen around school, and the flier with all the imaginary sales going on. It was a lot of fun, and I still have my copy of it! -
I remember my 3rd grade teacher had a unit on books and one day she brougt in her electric skillet and made "Green eggs and Ham" for the unit on Dr. Seuss. -
When I was in 2nd grade, the teacher let us sit at her desk on our birthday. In fourth grade, we had groups, and the best group at the end of the ?semester? got to bring "toys" and play for a day. I was "Queen for the day." :) -
jana, i had enough info for the interview just by talking to you the other night, and i turned it in while ago, so you don't have to worry about it. it was seriously just 2-3 Q's, and i didn't put your full name or the name of your school! thanks a lot for letting me use you..i owe you some graded papers ;) -

one of my teachers wrote us little notes and would stick them on our desk every now and then telling us that we were special and that she was glad to have us in our class...they were short but they meant alot to us...do you have a treasure box those were always good too :) hope your doing great... -
we should all get together this weekend, like tomorrow or Sat. night if ya'll don't already have plans! I don't have much to do at all
