How long did YOU wait to vote today?

Umm....

Zero minutes.
Just walked right up to my touch screen.

Record setting, perhaps?
  • sweett
Touch screen? Here in KY, I had to do it scantron style! And I was in line for 30 minutes or so.

  • girl_husted
Didn't have to wait either. I went after work and got in and out within a few minutes
    by girl_husted at 11/04/08 6:31PM
  • robbio
When I got there, the line was out the door, but because my name was between M and Z, I walked straight to the other "line" and got a ballot. In and out in less than 5 minutes.

No wait :) After 3 hours last election I am pretty sure I deserved that!

We voted right after David got out of the hospital about 3 weeks ago so he did not take a chance on not getting to. Since I had to take him anyway, Joe and I voted then also.

My mom and I waited about 30 minutes but my boyfriend was in and out within minutes as well...

We just walked right up too. However the last time we voted was in FL, where they had those nice touch screens too. In Missouri, we were handed this card ballot and we had to connect the lines of an arrow pointing the the candidate of our choice. I felt like I'd stepped back into time.

Where were you in 1992?

I'm working today... sitting in dialysis with a pt and they have Magic 95.9, Baltimore's R&B leader, filling the air.

I definitely heard En Vogue's "My Lovin'(You're Never Gonna Get It)" and was immediately transported back to 1992 and had a super hard time sitting still in my chair! Wow. I was 9 years old in the summer of 1992 when that song came out and remember rollerskating to it in my West Nashville driveway with my neighbor :)

Oh, to be 9 years old again... I think I could go for that...
  • jdickens
goodness. in 92 I hadn't even moved to Florida yet. I was still riding my bike all over Nederland

  • lionessofgod
in 1992 I was only a year old lol

I graduated from High School in 1992--started college in 1992. And I loved that song. Whatever happened to those girls?
    by SaraJones at 10/29/08 4:29PM
  • girl_husted
Hmm. I turned 11 in '92. So I was in the 5th grade.

David is starting his recovery quite well so he called John Hopkins to get an appointment. They told him he would have to wait until his doctor at the Cleveland Clinic sent his referral and records and they would call him for the appointment. So we are waiting. Will keep you posted. Thanks

    heh. "Now, it's time for a breakdown... NevaGonnaGetItNevaGonnaGetIt -- NevaGonnaGetItNevaGonnaGetIt -- NevaGonnaGetItNevaGonnaGetIt -- NevaGonnaGetIt -- NevaGetIt -- WOO-WOO-WOO-WOO-OOO-OOO-OOH!!"

"Has anyone ever mentioned to you that you talk to yourself?"

That's what one of my patients said to me the other day.
Followed by: "it's ok, you all do it."

Must be a nurse thing.
  • friedaj
Nah, it's a people thing. I worked as a waitress for so many years and it is comical to see everyone remembering (out loud) who gets what and other little details about some of the tables.
    by friedaj at 10/09/08 8:51AM
  • robbio
I talk to myself but I'm pretty sure its because I'm crazy
    by robbio at 10/09/08 10:33AM
  • denisemccaskill
Well I must be crazy too! I talk to myself all the time. I think as long as you don't answer yourself back if you've asked a question out loud then you're ok! :)..
    by denisemccaskill at 10/09/08 11:34AM
  • ktjb17
I've always talked to myself...I guess that means I'm on the right track to be in nursing school!

David asked the doctor before he removed the kidney if he would leave as much of the arterial vessel to the kidney so there would be a "possible" place to put another. He is still thinking of another one asap. Thank you!
