"There is confusion worse than death."
~Odyssius
Wow...he's not even kidding.
I tell you guys, I'm starting to get ever so slightly stressed - What with school, work, CCC, and everyone going off to get married.
Huh, crazy folk you lover-types. On top of all the craziness that life throws at the average human, for some reason we still feel the need to complicate things even more by adding a new factor to our already complex personal society circles - that special someone. Ugh. I mean, you guys who have a special someone...my hat goes off to you. I feel no shame in admitting that I am incapable of handling the excess stress that comes from an intimate relationship - not to mention that I am stubbornly reluctant to forfeit my bachelorism regardless of how sweetly my heart-strings be played.
I realize of course that most of you who are reading this probably have a "special someone" and are probably smirking and chuckling to yourself as you say: "James ol' chap, you speak such now, but 'ware your heart, for I would verily wager that were you ever to meet that 'fair one' who doth play yourn heart-strings so skillfully, you would'st not find it so easy to hold your obstinately chauvinistic views." And verily- er... I mean, you might be right. I doubt very seriously that you talk like that or know anyone who does, but nevertheless...the meaning has been felt I daresay.
Ok, that's quite enough of that.
You guys have a great night!
Sincerely Yours.

Yo yo wassup my homeys?? Now I be doubtin' see'rously dat many people ax'tuly look at dis hear loggin' thingy, but if you do, here's yo chance to put'cho hands in da air and jump!!
We got some of the top rappas in da house tonight! Here we go, bustin' out the lines!
Where you be at foo'? Whatchu to do when I catch up wid you?
You know I ain't a cracker, ain't some white trash slacker, butchu know I be mackin', on yo girl send you packin'
Cause you know I got the lines, all these many ladies fine, all mine, anytime,
You know I hold the powah, like a muscle covered towah, ain't no way to approach, I whoop you like a varsity coach,
You know my rhyme is the time, if you miss it its a crime, I told you over and over and over and over, that I got the lyrics, the sweets, like a good Russel Stover,
You know you can't compete, cannot hope tah meet, upstairs downstairs or out on da street. Cause yo mamas got no rhythm, an' yo daddy's got no game, and you'd be thinkin', it'd be sinkin' in dat you be da same
i am tha lyrical masta mind, sent forth from the divine, to discern tha time, and i say it's time to rhyme, and i ain't gonna be kind, so you best prepare yo mind, cause if my raps was brake pads i'd stop a tank on a dime!
You know i'm packin tha heat! i'm comin straight off tha street! Bringin all my amo out because i'm shootin tha beat!
i've got a lyrical army, so don't think you alarm me, cause there ain't no way yo sorry raps is ever gonna harm me!
I'm bustin out my militia, sent to rattle and dis' ya, and when you gone from tha game, ain't nobody gonna miss ya!
When you see a force like me, you either take a knee or flee, cause if you don't show me respect i'll hang ya high from a tree.
So bow before tha masta! I promise i'll outlast ya! You know my lyrics be so slick they slide right past ya!
Keep it coo yo.

So how's everybody? Well, things around here are starting to pick up. Ivan's coming this way, but I don't think it'll be here in time to save me from my Statistics quiz tomorrow. Oh well, you can't have everything I guess. On a brighter note, if it doesn't hit Birmingham, my sister Maggie, her husband, and friend, will be able to go through with their visit to Birmingham, and since I haven't seen her in quite a while, and this might be my only chance for a while, I hope Ivan has the good sense to stay out of my way ;-)
In other news, classes are going well, and CCC is great. It's so great seeing everybody again, and it's even better meeting new friends. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. Speaking of which...the cold weather is only a matter of weeks away!!!
Well, I've got to get some sleep and study some Stats! I hope everybody is doing well, and staying safe during Ivan's visit to Alabama.
Goodnight.
And so ends the entry.
"Day is done.
Gone the sun
From the lakes,
From the hills,
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh."
Music: Broadway Recording "Les Miserables"
Mood: Pretty cheerful, only slightly diminished by being so very tired :-)
Ehhhh. Lots of classes. Whoohoo! Well, the second day down, and I think I'm back in the swing of things. It's shaping up to be a good semester I think, and hopefully it'll be a little less stressful than the last few. It's great to be back though; I love seeing everybody and getting back to ordinary life. My cousin's are at school with me, so that's a little bit of extra fun. Campus Crusade is up and going, and the first night was a great. IHOP wasn't bad either, but they've got to learn the meaning of "quick service" because sometimes, just once and a while, someone wants to get and eat their food the same month that they ordered it.
Big Spring Jam coming up soon! The Waay-FM stage is going to be awesome this year! Switchfoot, Building 429, all sorts of great artists coming to the stage...get your tickets! I'll probably see a lot of you guys there, it's going to be a good year.
Well, leave me something, and I'll read it.
Goodnight.
And he's back with a record number of blog-thingy entries in like a month or so!!! I know, I know, you guys are all changing money from the bets you took on whether or not I would post before 2005....
...or are you???
Haha, yeah, I doubt very seriously that anyone actually reads this so I'm probably just leading myself on. Of course, with no one reading my entries...I could say whatever I want and it wouldn't matter!!!
Haha, blibber noptunk id wondulla temer snizzlefork. You only wish you knew what that meant.
...or do you???
So back to current events and interesting "Reuben facts."
(Crowd feebly "whoohoos" and then looks awkwardly at each other to see if they heard right and who in their right shoes has ever heard of "Reuben facts" anyway???)
Olympics!!! On their way! Actually, due to the time difference, they're probably already just about exiting off the highway and checking the address. Yeah, that was a pun derived from my statement about the Olypics being "ontheir way." Anyhow, they're sure to be exciting with plenty of chances for everyone of us hardcore Americans to cheer for the red white a blue and say "Allez France!!!" Or did you not know that France has the same colors for their flag that we have for our flag? Oh yes...But never fear!!! I'm sure we can sue them for that somehow. We are, after all, 21st century Americans!!! "God save our Bill of Rights! Let no man stop the fights, that tear us down!!"
No, no, that's the UK's tune for their anthem, we can't use that. Unless...SUE THE UK!!!!
No really. I apologize for that last little bit. I wouldn't say things like that if I hadn't been brought up so bad. Oh yes it was terrible...
But the Olypics! Really they're going to be great and if you haven't already planned a night to have a party to watch the Olypics, then you had better get on it and invite me.
But truly, you should make an effort to turn on the ol' idiot box and show a little patriotism for your country. Nothing says "Go USA!" like supporting the networks.
And in other news...
I have recently acquired two new cds (one of which I will not tell you about because I want some time to feel like I am the only one who is enjoying the sacred sounds that I possess). The other is the soundtrack of "Master and Commander: The Far Side of The World." Absolutely marvelous! And even if you saw the movie, and disliked it (fie upon you) I can assure you that the soundtrack does not promise to bring the same distaste to your senses. In fact, it's quite gorgeous.
And of course Cassie's home. Which, in itself, is a real perk. I mean, really, Cassie is one of the coolest people I know and, incidentally, I know quite a few. Not that that makes me personally any cooler, but it does make for a rather fun Friday night now and then. But back to Cassie. Cassie is cool and home for a while....we hope. For those of you who have missed her all summer and can't wait to hang out with her I must beg you to
KEEP AWAY FROM MY SISTER UNTIL I HAVE HAD TIME TO HANG OUT WITH HER!!!!
Just kidding. Feel free to call her up and say: "Cassie! Dahhhling!! We simply MUST get together! It has bean (pronounce it like you see it) too long! It rhally has."
And of course, the show is over. I find myself wallowing in pits of desperation and despair. I really do miss the stage when I'm not on it. For all of you who came to see me: Bless you! And for those of you who didn't, I have only this to say: Shame upon you, you black-hearted villains!!
And there's so much more!! But I think that's enough for now. I'll be back a little later to tell you more, but in "Reuben blog-time", a "little later" could be the equivalent of 3 and a half months....hmmm, we'll see. Anyways, hope you are all well. Take care, enjoy the Olypics!
Peace and goodwill towards men!
Warm thoughts and original pickup lines towards the ladies!
