We will be heading to Kentucky tomorrow morning. I am just trying to clean the house and finish packing. I am looking forward to the trip.
I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend. Well, I am supposed to be running right now, but I am putting it off as usual.
Prayers were answered! There was much rejoicing last night when my older sister, Jessica, repented of her sins and turned her life back to God. I am so happy!! I have missed her so much over the past five years and can’t wait to be able to pick up were we left off.
I know sometimes we doubt God’s plan, but we must remember God knows best and his plan DOES work if it is followed as he intended. Praise God!
I hope you are all having good weeks too!!
A couple of entries ago I mentioned that I would be having a meeting with a member of the Lord’s church who had fallen away. The meeting occurred this morning and I feel it went very well. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and ask that you keep praying that this sister is willing to make the needed changes in her life. During the meeting we discussed the need for immediate repentance and not putting it off to a time that was convenient for ourselves. After all our life is but a vapor (James 4:14). There was good discussion and tears shed. I am hoping that I have left her with some things to think about in God’s word. I will be praying and I ask for your continued prayers. I am hoping soon that there will be much rejoicing when she returns back to the fold of God.
In other news Caitlyn has stood unassisted for a few seconds. I guess this means walking for her is only a couple months away. She still lights up the room with her smiles.
Caleb is talking so much now. He is getting to be such a big boy. He is so loving. He tells me he loves me now and gives me a huge hug just out of the blue.
Josiah is very much like his Daddy. When he likes something he is very passionate about it. There is no half way for him. His newest things are Star Wars and Chess. I know sounds kind of geeky, but he is still the coolest kid around to me. Jake bought Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III. They watch a movie together on “Guys Night”. He carried the movies around for days and would arrange all the Star Wars movies in order. A kids show he was watching showed some kids playing chess so he decided he wanted to learn. We have a chess board so I decided that I would try to show him. He actually is doing very good for a 4 year old. He is learning what moves each piece can make. Do you think Josiah will join chess club when he is in school? Time will only tell! Good thing he also likes sports.
So that is the what is going on here. I’ve got to run I have a very hungry baby girl that wants her dinner
do not forget to vote Tuesday April 1st. There is an election tomorrow for County Executive. I just want to remind all you Milwaukee County residents. I would recommend a vote for Scott Walker. He has held the line on property taxes for his entire term despite opposition. All of us in Milwaukee County know we do not need ANY MORE TAXES. He is the only politician that I believe in because he has always followed through on his promises. You can't find a more honest person for the job. So get out there and vote.
Don't become one of "those Mom's". I can not count how many mom's I have heard complaining about Spring Break this week. At the kids haircut place, my coworkers, and the gym I take the kids to.......all you hear is "I can't wait till spring break is over and the kids are back at school." I have been thinking wow do they really dislike being with their children that much? I am sure spring break week can be challenging the kids are out of their normal routines and the weather has not allowed for much outdoor play but come on. I hope that I remember to enjoy my kids and to take advantage of the time spent with them to teach them and enjoy them. Someday they will miss that time. So when the kids are older and you hear me complaining remind me of this entry.
Things have been going pretty well. I had a good review at work and it looks like I should be working from home in the near future. I just got my hair cut last night I always enjoy that.
The kids are doing well. One of these days I will post some pictures when I can figure out our new camera.
I have a lot of things on my plate right now as far as helping others (this is Not a complaing it is something that I enjoy). My problem is that sometimes I am helping people with things and it weighs so heavily on my heart. I am not sure if that is a bad thing, but it can be kind of stressful so I appreciate prayers. I am meeting with a unfaithful Christian in a couple weeks to discuss her need to repent and turn her life back to God. I will appreciate all your prayers that the meeting goes well.
Have a great weekend.
