Let those who are sinless cast the first stone!

......for we have all fallen short of the glory of God.

I have attended church from the time I was born, until I turned 18. At 18, I decided that I no longer wanted to attend church. I was never baptized. I was never a christian.

I made my own choices. Whether they be good or bad, I made my own choices in life.

My parents are strong christians, who attend church, and did their best to raise me to be a christian as well. But it doesnt matter how well they might have taught me to pray, dress modestly, and obey Gods RULES....because in the end, it is MY CHOICE as to whether or not I want to pursue a life in Christ.

And intimidating your children to obey God is not obedience with an honest heart. It is obedience out of FEAR. Fear of losing your parents because they refuse to be by your side in your hardest moments in life, when you need them most.

I am thankful everyday that God has BLESSED me with patient, kind, and LOVING parents, who, despite my sinful ways of life, refuse to give up hope. Who will always be there with open arms when I need them.

I pray everyday that other parents could be like my own. Even if God doesnt hear a sinners prayer.

My parents will not be judged by God for my own actions. Every one of us will be judged individually.

And I know that God is just like my parents are....not abandoning His children that have gone astray.
I know that God may "abhor" my actions, but he does not "abhor" me. God will always be by my side, knowing that someday I might return to Him.

If Jesus was as INTOLERANT as some christians today are, then would he have saved a prostitutes life? Would he have eaten with sinners? Would he have died for EVERYONES sins?
Or would he have simply abandoned and disowned everyone of us?

How do you expect to save the lost if you refuse to be there in their darkest hour, because you were too busy abhorring their sins?
Tolerance doesnt mean accepting sinful behavior, look it up.

THE AMERICAN HERITAGE DICTIONARY

TOLERENCE noun. The capacity for or practice of recognizing and RESPECTING the opinions, practices, or behavior of others.

Nowhere in that definition does it say that you are ACCEPTING their opinions, practices, or behavior.

And I dont believe that by respecting others opinion, practices, and behaviors I am accepting it as well. I am simply respecting, or TOLERATING, what they say and do because I expect them to respect/TOLERATE what I say and do as well.

It is because of too many "Christians" intolerance for others that I left the church.
If we cannot respect others then how can we expect them to respect us?

So dont act like your better than me, because in Gods eyes we are all the same, we are all sinners. And it is God who will be judging me when I die, not you.
Judge not lest you be Judged likewise.

"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Burn One Down-Ben harper

Let us burn one
from end to end
and pass it over to me my friend,
burn it long, we'll burn it slow,
to light me up before i go.

If you dont like my fire,
then dont come around...
'cause im gonna burn one down,
yes im gonna burn one down.

My choice is what i choose to do,
and if im causing no harm
it shouldnt bother you,
Your choice is who you choose to be,
and if your causing no harm,
then your alright with me.

If you dont like my fire,
then dont come around...
'cause im gonna burn one down,
yeah im gonna burn one down.

Herb, the gift from the earth,
and whats from the earth
is of the greatest worth...
So before you knock it, try it first
Oh, you'll see its a blessing
and it's not a curse.

If you dont like my fire,
then dont come around...
'cause im gonna burn one down,
yeah im gonna burn one.

*********

Dont judge me.

Yep, Laurie got married to Joe Koen in October and now Pami is marrying Joel Hinkle. Not sure if you remember his family or not--they're from Summersville. We're hoping Diana will stay single a while longer--we're losing daughters much too fast around here ;) But we couldn't ask for better sons-in-law so it's all good. How are you doing?

Well I climbed the seven summits
And I swam the seven seas
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
I fought in the jungles
And I fought in the streets
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
Once I had a reason
Don't know what it could be
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
Well I sang to myself
That I want to be free
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see

I walked the empty desert
And I was burned in the heat
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
I crossed the frozen wasteland
And in the bitter cold did freeze
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
And I will knock on every door
For I do not have a key
And the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
Well I sang to myself
That I want to be free
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see

They shot a man in soho
Couldn't guess his age
I found his empty journal
I filled up every page
I called up my state senator
They said he wasn't there
The secretary took my name
And man she sounded scared
So I counted my misfortunes
I added up the blame
I picked through all the garbage
I checked off all the names
I read in the newspaper
They'd questioned all my friends
They hoped that they could find me
Before I struck again
Well I sang to myself
That I want to be free
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see

So when thirsty I will drink
When hungry I will steal
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
So tonight I walk in anger
With worn shoes on my feet
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see
And I will sing to myself
That I'm gonna be free
But the road I must travel
Its end I cannot see

There's a sign along the highway
But it's too dark now to read

So, i was thinking maybe i should update. But i'm not sure about what.

Have you ever wanted to help someone but wasnt sure how to help them? Thats what I feel like right now. I dont like to see my friend so upset. It makes me sad but I dont know what to do to help.
I think that just by listening, when no one else would, has helped though. Maybe by just being there to talk to is how i can help.

If i can help someone, and make them happy, i feel like i have a purpose in life. Just to see someone smile, and knowing that I made them happy, makes my day a hundred times better.

peace

"Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." (Abraham Lincoln, 1840)

"What shall we say then? Is the Law sin?

    May it never be!

On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said "You shall not covet." -Romans 7:7

Paul's got Abe beat, I'm afraid. ^_~ i hope you are doing well, keep an eye on the brightside of things, it'll turn out alright! ^_^
