Let those who are sinless cast the first stone!
......for we have all fallen short of the glory of God.
I have attended church from the time I was born, until I turned 18. At 18, I decided that I no longer wanted to attend church. I was never baptized. I was never a christian.
I made my own choices. Whether they be good or bad, I made my own choices in life.
My parents are strong christians, who attend church, and did their best to raise me to be a christian as well. But it doesnt matter how well they might have taught me to pray, dress modestly, and obey Gods RULES....because in the end, it is MY CHOICE as to whether or not I want to pursue a life in Christ.
And intimidating your children to obey God is not obedience with an honest heart. It is obedience out of FEAR. Fear of losing your parents because they refuse to be by your side in your hardest moments in life, when you need them most.
I am thankful everyday that God has BLESSED me with patient, kind, and LOVING parents, who, despite my sinful ways of life, refuse to give up hope. Who will always be there with open arms when I need them.
I pray everyday that other parents could be like my own. Even if God doesnt hear a sinners prayer.
My parents will not be judged by God for my own actions. Every one of us will be judged individually.
And I know that God is just like my parents are....not abandoning His children that have gone astray.
I know that God may "abhor" my actions, but he does not "abhor" me. God will always be by my side, knowing that someday I might return to Him.
If Jesus was as INTOLERANT as some christians today are, then would he have saved a prostitutes life? Would he have eaten with sinners? Would he have died for EVERYONES sins?
Or would he have simply abandoned and disowned everyone of us?
How do you expect to save the lost if you refuse to be there in their darkest hour, because you were too busy abhorring their sins?
Tolerance doesnt mean accepting sinful behavior, look it up.
THE AMERICAN HERITAGE DICTIONARY
TOLERENCE noun. The capacity for or practice of recognizing and RESPECTING the opinions, practices, or behavior of others.
Nowhere in that definition does it say that you are ACCEPTING their opinions, practices, or behavior.
And I dont believe that by respecting others opinion, practices, and behaviors I am accepting it as well. I am simply respecting, or TOLERATING, what they say and do because I expect them to respect/TOLERATE what I say and do as well.
It is because of too many "Christians" intolerance for others that I left the church.
If we cannot respect others then how can we expect them to respect us?
So dont act like your better than me, because in Gods eyes we are all the same, we are all sinners. And it is God who will be judging me when I die, not you.
Judge not lest you be Judged likewise.
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
