Happy New Year...again! :)

Well, apparently I am reduced to a yearly post. ;) Yes, I have been lost in facebook land all this time. A lot has changed in the past year (and some things are still the same)! Greg switched jobs (although he stayed in the oilfield), we moved yet again to another rental house here in town, I started going back to school at Texas Womans University (distance education), Grace turned 3 & Luke is about to be 5! We have been struggling with a lot of important things like where we should be worshiping (what is a sound church & what isn't & where do you draw the line), anxiety attacks that have threatened to rule my life, officially getting started homeschooling & making drastic changes in our diet to help with being healthy &, hopefully, give us the energy we need to do all of these things! So, I guess you could say I, in particular, have been in somewhat of a turmoil. Sometimes I desperately want all the answers & then I realize that I just need to press on & do the best I can with what God has given me (easier said than done)! I realize I am so far from what I "should be." I am still terrible about keeping a neat, organized home. But, I haven't given up yet! Some weeks are much better than others (ok, ok & some are much worse)! :)

Well, I figure all of my old pleonast friends have converted to facebook by now & probably won't ever see this. But, I just thought I'd put it all "out there" just in case. I need my friends now more than ever. Sometimes it seems like when I get down in the dumps I just isolate myself further. But, I'm really making an effort to reach out. Because I know I can't do this alone & the encouragement I get just from visiting a little while with good friends goes a long way toward boosting me through the week! :)

I hope that this year finds each of you still fighting the good fight. I know life gets tough sometimes, but don't give up! Let's all try to lean on the Lord & each other more than ever to help us reach the goal! :)

Keep on trying. Sometimes when we get stuck in a rut it's hard to change. We definitely need to press on towards spiritual maturity and try and live our lives the best we can. Hope all goes well. Keep in touch. :-)

Thank you guys so much! :)

Sarah, I'm so sorry you are going through stuff too! It is nice to know that none of us are really alone & the we have God and each other to lean on. I would love it if we could talk on the phone sometime! Definitely call or email when you can! Hang in there! :)

Happy New Year!

It's a new year, & it seems like about 2 seconds ago I was saying that LAST year! The time really is flying, so I'm going to try to do better this year with redeeming it! Grace is a little over 2 & Luke is just shy of 4! These kiddos are bursting full of energy & mischief & absolute hilarity. We were driving down the road on the way to church on Sunday morning. We hadn't had breakfast, so I grabbed a couple of random things out of the pantry. I pulled out some poptarts and hollared "who wants a strawberry poptart?" Gracie immediately yelled "MEEEEE!!!!" That taken care of, I pulled out a somewhat mashed looking honey almond flaxseed Kashi cereal bar & held it up & asked who wanted it. Gracie jumped in without a moment's hesitation "YOU!!!!!!!!!" Those are the moments! Well, we haven't gotten our tree & decor taken down yet. But, I'm still kind of enjoying it. We never got around to getting a real tree, so we just have a fake tree up. Although, those things shed just about as much as a real tree, no joke! So, the tree isn't kindling & is still looking festive. Hope everyone is having a great New Year & hope to keep in touch with all of you better this time around. ;)
