Chicago Church

Howdy, everyone! Jeremy and I are going to be in Chicago the weekend of January 1-4. I looked up churches in the area, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any in the downtown area. We'll be staying near the Magnificent Mile, and we won't have a car, so we'll probably be taking a cab to services. Anyone know of congregations in the area? Thanks!

    We lived iin the Chicagoland area for four years but never worshiped downtown. I could give you some suburb congregations but that won't help much. You might look up the church of Christ online directory...

    You might try www.findthechurch.com - it seems to have a lot of sound churches listed. Have fun on your trip - I love Chicago!!

    Hey Val Gal, talked to someone from Elgin (which is like a suburb of Chicago), and they didn't know of any close to the magnificent mile. However, the good thing about Chicago is mass transit. If ya'll took the train there were a few reccommendations they had for you.

    Also, Steve Rudd's site is now updated and does a really good job of finding conservative works close to a given address. www.bible.ca just in case you didn't have it.
