She was only 31. She leaves behind parents, a husband, two brothers, and a 9 year old daughter. I am reminded of how temporary life is and how we should not waste time with worthless things.
I don't know her personally but several people I know are her friends. She is a mom and a wife and a Christian and in her mid-30s. She had the flu then got more sick and now is having surgery to amputate her both of her lower legs. She has an infection called sepsis.
I think she has been unconscience for the most part these last few weeks. Her surgery was schedule at 9:30 this morning.
This has a way of making you really think about your life and what you are wasting your time on.
I can't believe I haven't posted in almost a year. I could almost put the exact thing I put in my last post talking about today. I decided to step down as Girl Scout troop leader after this year. Maybe next year I can say something new.
Oh I guess the only difference to this time last year is the following...
...we found our dog passed away this morning
...my 19 year old brother in law got married and had a terrible loss of a baby
...went to vegas for the first time in my life
...a dear grandfather of my husband's passed after struggling for several years with cancer
those are just the ones I can remember right now.
Overall we are blessed. Still have jobs and most importantly A LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER!
I am still learning the above. I haven't had time to get on facebook or pleo much lately. Once I got through the holidays both of my kids have birthdays. Then I recently started working again with my husband and his family. In addition to that I still get my baby fix every few weeks by watching Hans for Cherry. Oh, and I still have Girl Scouts. We are about to wrap up cookie sales. That has been an experience. You can't imagine how competitive Troop leaders can be with each other.
On the whole, life is good.
if you have any thin mints left over you can send them this way!
I went 6 months without posting on here and it feels great. I refuse to open another account on facebook. I just use Colby's occasionally! ;) Time passes too fast to be in front of a machine that can't love you back!
