Well we got one of our rare cold snaps. Snowed about three inches and the tempature was 26 degrees. Thats not to bad but the night temp for the next two days is 13 and 15 then a heavy snow storm is expected friday. havent been out except to feed the birds. Greta the dog is having a great time in the snow. She runs in it with her nose in it like a snow plow. nothing else going on.Am going to have to sweep the snow off the pick up so Norma can go shopping. we are running short on grub.

They have just opened a new park where we can run the dogs off leash. She has ben doing this for several weeks. She wa s at the park Monday and was running the dog with two other dogs. which is a norm in the area. Anywayshe was running the dogsand they were getting pretty far away so she called them in.One of the dogs was a Pit bullmix.somewhere during the mix he lost all his brains. The dogs came in and when they got to Norma Gretta split off and went around her ,the pit bull apparently went blind and nailed Norma on her lower left leg. This dog is a sixty pounder and running at top speed.Needless to say she went down like a brick. The owner of the dog came over and told her it has done that before. He then left the area, got in is car and took off. He left Norma hanging on the fence in tear.A lady came out and helped her to the car. We went to the Dr on tuesdayand found she had a bunch of torn ligements and a possible fracture. the dr put her in a softcast and we have been ice packing every since. She is on crutches and the leg is still very painful. It takes two of us to dress and undress her. ON top of that my leg has been acting up big time and it takes half the morning to get any mobility in it.
The vicodenis going fast. I have decided it is no fun getting old.

One of our cats came down with something and didn't survive. PUFF oUR Ragdoll had to be put down yesterday. She was my lap cat so have had to switch over to another. She was 15 years old andwill be sorely missed. In addition tto that we got a call from my aunt in washington that her husband was on his death bed.Laura and I made a rush trip up there yesterday and spent some time with him. He was still lucid and we got to spend some time with him. I doubt he will hold onlvery long. For his sake I hope it happens soon.
Norma went thru her ordeal and is waiting to see if it helps her hearing. So far she can't tell much of a difference. The Dr said it could take weeks or months. We shall see.
We had another snow storm today. The ground in warm and it all melted off in an hour or so.
Just got called to lunch I"ll get back to you later
