It's Been Awhile

I have made the switch to Facebook years ago and am not an interesting enough person to maintain two social networks. That said, I posted this on facebook the other day and thought I ought to do the same.

For those of you that know me, you know this is not something that I do without prayer and careful consideration. For the last 2.5 years I have been working with the saints in Grinnell, Iowa. They are a wonderful group of Christians that have opened their homes and hearts to accept my family. Over the last year we have had three baptisms and one restoration. The church certainly is working and God is giving us some increase. However, the church is not capable of fully supplying to my needs. Dawn and I are still short $500 a month. If you know any churches that might be willing to help keep us in a state that desperately needs more men willing to be here teaching the truth please send me their contact information so that I can formally send a support request.

    I can ask if it's something our church would consider, but we currently support about 5 preachers throughout the world, and will be renovating our building in the next few years. We have an FC connection though...(Brent Hunter is our preacher, Aaron Burress goes to church there, as well as Jamie Perkins' brother, BJ and Becci McKinney recently visited here, and Buddy Payne came to give a talk not too long ago.) I can't promise you they will agree to help out, but the least I can do is ask. Keep up the good work, brother and hang in there.
