I'm utterly flabbergasted,
at the responses I have gotten!
First things first, thank you so much Robert for being kind enough to shove people my way. I'd do one of those rad linking name things, but I have yet to figure out how.
I guess I did not disclose enough information about myself in previous passages, but I would prefer a certain level of anonymity. Of course, I have already given you my name, so that may not make sense to a lot of you all. I will just tell you, I currently reside in Canada. Yes, I've been to the states numerous times. Yankee accents disgust me, hah. (Insert your favorite little emoticon here that everyone seems to be SO very fond of.)
On a different note, with spring in the air, its time to dust off some of the ultimate Frisbee gear. Maybe a little rugby too, eh?
EDIT:
I would also like to say, it's cute when you hear a 3rd grade tell a 2nd grader, "Kid, second grade is nothing. Wait till you get to third!!" But it's sort of disheartening to hear, "Forget about college, it doesn't prepare you for the REAL world" or "School doesn't matter, no one looks at that stuff." I mean, goodness, what am I WORKING for, then!? And even more so to hear and elderly person say, "Just wait till you get to be my age, eh?" As good as their intentions are... I find those phrases in no way comforting.
If we continue to discredit every preceding event in our short insignificant lives in favor of longing for future success in the proceeding ones, what will remain to take pride in?
Let's say "Good luck" instead of "That's nothing".
( how was that? My attempt at talking Canadian. ( wink)!
It's very nice to meet you. What grade are you in?
