and I will have no homework
no school stress
no all nighters
..for just awhile.
This year came and flew by so quickly.
My friends warned me it would be my hardest year, but would fly..but we never thought it go this fast.
I got rid of a 100 pound rock-my AP US History book and I've purposely left a gazillion sticky notes w/old study tips, points about people who've been dead for about 200 years, and other stuff...just doing my part to help the UNDERCLASSMEN!
I have yet to clean out my locker!
-8 I Love Lucy magnets
-a Buddha sticky
-a sombero (sp?) ..don't even ask
-post its w/reminders ..about six months old
-a baby toy
-pic of William Hung
-Two pics of Judy Garland and Fred Astaire
..can't get better than that!
-pic of Oprah and Diane Sawyer
This year brought many challenges, all gifts; hardship, fun, and much more. This was my best year of high school; I know this already.
One more day of exams, walking the halls, hearing teachers yell,...and a few more hours to say goodbye to some of the neatest people I've grown up with and have come to love.
Work at 4, leaves me two hours to chill *crosses that out* study.
I'm out..love ya'll ;)
After four and a half amazing days of adventure, we arrived home around three a.m. 75 was completely closed, due to wildfire, and an additional problem-the bus not working-held us back an extra hour or so, but we made up for it, when the park let us ride Krackin quite a few times!)
Thursday evening, we arrived at Orlando at 6:30. We dined at Harvey's Bistro, a superb (5 star, i might add) restaurant and ended the evening at The Mad Cow Theatre, where we saw, 'It Was A Great Year: 1949. The food was AMAZING!! and the show was quite a corny musical, but also totally funny and abit sentimental.
Friday, we spent most of the day in Busch Gardens. Most of us conquered a 90 degree, 200 foot drop coaster, 'Shiekra'; it was AMAZING!!! The African themed park was quite the place and we had alot of fun,...even more fun when a certain chaperone led us to ride a few rides several times ;)
Another week has passed--bringing us closer to summer break and getting us further and further away from stinkety tests!
This week was long, busy as ever, and but not too bad. Had an AP test today and managed to get through it quite well, despite working from 5 to 11:30 last night!)
This evening, I came home from work and collapsed into an old chair in our playroom, and watched 'Man of the Year'. Despite the language, it was quite funny and shed light on the power of politics+improve. The plot of the movie was serious, but what made the plot was what made this film funny! Robin Wiliams maintained a (seemingly)clean mouth when he talked of numerous political, hot topic discussions.
I've come to realize that life is not like a bowl of cherries. For some time now, I've meditated on my previous statement and found it to be very true.
-The only bowl you'll ever have is the bubble you attempt to construct around your heart, in an attempt to shelter it from coming in contact with reality. It didn't take you long to realize that you couldn't reach the top-because if you did, it'd collapse on you; then you'd be forced to accept life's challenges, as is.
-We aren't cherries and neither are the challenges God gives us. At Truetts, shakes are topped off with whip cream and a cherry. Cherries often times, get dropped and smushed onto the floor. God did not intend for us to be as fragile as the cherries on the floor-being 'abused' as many lacking faith would say. And He certainly never allowed a challenge to crush and walk all over our hearts and minds, in an attempt to take hold of our level of faith. ..and unlike the cherry, we have the God given ability to decide whether or not to get back up and stand.

Today was the '1-7'..notice there's no 'big' in it. Turning 17 is good-no, great-because it's another year that God has blessed me with, but it's the year of straddling the fence-not quite there yet.
Today was pretty good, complete with a lit test and a chem test-both were pretty simple. I got plenty of 'Happy Birthday!' from alot of my friends, but it kind of hurt when two of my great friends didn't remember til about two o' clock..oh, well you get over that kinda stuff and move on to a better afternoon! Mom brought in lunch for Caitlin and I-she also brought in candy and some other sweets for the two of us to share with friends...it was all good; while it lasted..;)
I got what I wanted and more for my birthday. The best present I received came at about 7:15 this morning-I got to talk to my aunt, currently in China. We talked for about five minutes, but hearing a loved one who you haven't been able to listen to in a while is very rewarding-in terms of remembering what they sounded like--that brings back great memories you have with them.
Mom and Dad got me a crembule (don't even say it, cuz I know I probably spelled it wrong) set and it is the BOMB!) I can't wait to use it! I got a few other things, but I got my BIG present a few months ago-we, the band, are going on a trip to FL in about a month!) I'm excited, but at the same time, feel bittersweet. It's the last trip, last bus ride, last get together with my senior band brothers, sisters, and our band director. We've all grown up together and we have had the director for six years, so it's gonna be our emotional 'laugh one minute, then cry the next'-type week.
I worked from five to ten and man, am I tired, but I feel realllyyy gross from eating all that junk, so I am off to jogging!)
