A few weeks ago, my dad collected money from individual members here who decided to contribute to buy Bibles for a preacher to take to Africa with him. All the young children also gave whatever amount of money they chose so they could help.

Tonight, I was over at a family's house because they invited the teens there to conduct our teen Bible study together. Afterward, Jennifer and I stayed for a while to visit and to play around with their three girls.

Eliza is the youngest.

She is three.

And tonight she walked up to me with a penny she found and said something to the effect of "Give this to your dad so he can give it to God."

The work has been accomplished, so the penny will go in the collection plate on Sunday.

As for the girl, what a sweet and good little heart she has. =)

I am currently working on this song on the violin! =) It's a little challenging without the sheet music, but it's going well. Still got to smooth out some rough edges, but it's been fun working on it. =D

    Sounds neat. I've never been much good at picking out music by ear. I can do single notes decently, but more than one note and I take ages to do it, and then it frequently isn't correct. :P

    I have to work hard at it, but it's a fun challenge. Yeah, sometimes doing it by ear is really difficult. Ha, just the other day I was working on one of the faster parts in this song ( lol I know none of it is *very* fast) and I was playing something wrong- just didn't sound right at all. Turns out I went to the next note up and I think the problem is solved now, or close to solved. It's funny how sometimes you work on something for a long time, the right "combination" is that close but it takes forever to find. Then you kick yourself for not having found it before. =P

    I tend to cheat. A lot of the songs that I'd like to play are from videos games, and at least until recently, they had midi soundtracks. So I got some free programs that can pull midis apart into sheet music, and then I take what I want from that. =)
