WOW! What an exciting year at FC camp! I received message that Shaun's girlfriend, Amanda Wade, was baptized the Sunday we arrived at camp. Later, Amanda G., Alex P., and Sarah M. obeyed the gospel:-)
Best wishes to the B-16 graduates!! I will miss you more than I can say. You are AWESOME!!!! Kara, Emily, Chelsea, Cassie, Hanna, Hannah, Kayleigh, and Sarah. Know that you will be in my heart, prayers, and thoughts as you leave home and begin a new chapter of your lives. The cabin will not be the same without you next year! Thanks for soaring like eagles in word and deed!
Hope Santa was good to everyone and that you enjoyed the day with your families. Since I have had some time on my hands the past week, I have been looking through photos and trying to put something in an album for my youngest other than just his name. It's so neat to think that each one represents a small snapshot in time. Use your minutes wisely this 2008 for it goes by so quickly. I am looking forward to making many more great memories with my family and friends all of whom I love dearly.
WOW! Football is in the air, and it's time to watch a lot of games. As usual, I am driving in circles to and from practices and games. Shaun surprised us last weekend and came in town for the weekend line-up. It was great!!! Nathan is starting tomorrow night at tight-end. Kyle's ankle is better and he is ready to knock some heads on Sat. He is trying out for the 7th grade basketball team and has made the first cut. NOt much else happening. Going to the Wren's Nest tomorrow. Gators play UT on Sat....ought to be a good one. I have been teaching a Teacher Training Class at church and have thoroughly enjoyed it and have learned much. I'm out...
Well, it has been a summer of fun, friends, family, camp, practices, and oh so much more. Shaun is counting down the days until he is back at his second home at GCSU; Kara is ready to begin her senior year; Nathan is excited about starting high school; and, Kyle will be the lone student at the Dobbs Academy for the next two years. Guess he can be Student of the Week every time. HA!
This year was so awesome, and Cabin B-16 rocked! I am already looking forward to next year:-) Thanks for coming to visit me and Jamie in the craft hut.
