Great American Teach-In
I have been once again invited to join in on the Great American Teach-In this year at Denham Oaks Elementary. I plan on going but haven't had it "Okay'd" yet. The school, however, doesn't realize this...
Denham oaks has already sent newsletters home to the parents about how awesome the balloon guy is going to be this year. On top of that, the letter which is to ASK for permission for me to attend basically says, "Fudge is going, excuse him." I hope all goes over well... I have no money (I am volunteering, but I figure that someone would spot me some cash for the balloons) and I need to do something to keep me preoccupied.
Last year when I went I had a blast! I was able to make balloons for bunches and bunches of people and I juggled and unicycled and showed off my dollar bill origami too. I went home afterward knowing that is was fun and knowing I needed a nap... Soon after I recieved a phone call stating that I needed to stop by and pick something up. I went later that afternoon and to my suprize, I was given a gigantic handfull of letters and cards made by the elemetary kids with pictures and phrases and all kinds of cool stuff on them. I love little kids... I just hope that if I am burdened with one that it will turn out half-decent. (I only say burdened because I am very much aware as to how much money they cost, let alone how much time, effort and concern go into them...)
Well, I am out for today... Have a great one!
