I like Tuesdays. That's when my doorbell rings announcing the arrival of three little girls and their Mommas or Grandmommas. Today was no different. Its like a ray of sunshine coming through my front door. I f you want to have a day of smiling, laughter, and busy little hands and minds wanting to learn new things--start you a sewing club.

Pieces of yarn and a needle, rocks from a dirt pile, climbing a tree, serving refreshments, cleaning up after eating , laughter, crying, scolding, and talk, talk, talk.
What a nice afternoon I had with my sewing friends. They range in age from 3 years to my age of 88. The little girls find winding yarn , learning to make a crochet chain, digging in the dirt for rocks, and eating goodies makes for a fun afternoon. And we adults enjoy all of their antics. Having friends of all ages is thrilling!!

This evening my pretty plants came home in their new pots, all pretty and happy. Mark, Sherelyn, and Ryan brought them over . I love the pots they chose to put them in. All of their work was my Mother's Day gift. They couldn't have done anything that I would appreciate more. Thank you!!

Mark rang the doorbell and told me he was taking my many plants from the funeral over to his house to repot them. This afternoon he and Sherelyn returned with several plants repotted and ready to bloom and grow. They look so nice! I appreciate their work so much. My green thumb has gone to greener pastures, so I hope they survive. The one flower I have most luck with is periwinkles. They grow between the slabs of concrete at my front porch--they lived through the winter and continue to grow. Mark put most of them in a pot, and they may think they are in a foreign land, and long for that bit of dirt between the concrete slabs. Time will tell. Hope you have a good worship time tomorrow.

Anne and Jim brought me home yesterday. It looked so good! Mark and Sherelyn had cared for the house and the yard. Today was a busy one--laundry, going through the large sack of mail Sherelyn had taken care of . Do you grow weary of all the junk mail? Sherelyn took me to Kroger's to replenish my grocery supply. The trip was great, and coming home is great too.
Ernest and I shared a room for his office, and my sewing room. I have "spilled" over into his part and it is a mess. There are lots of papers to shred, and that is not one of my favorite jobs, thus it continues to be put at thee bottom of my "to do" list. Hope I get ambitious soon.
I am planning to teach my granddaughter and the little one I keep in the summer to sew.
Any helpful hints you can offer would be appreciated. thought I would start with a pillowcase since it involves straight sewing. Or did I ask you before? Some things I can't remember, unfortunately....:)
