Zooming hither, thither, and yon...
What a break I've had since my last entry! In one sense, I feel like I just posted that last entry yesterday, but in another sense, so much has happened, I just don't even know where to begin, as far as updates go!
Molleigh has kept me so busy, it's been crazy! She just wrapped up her third season of Fastpitch Softball. This spring, we moved her to a different league, one that is more competitive...wanted her to keep improving, and when you play with good players, you naturally improve as well. She actually made two teams this year, so you can imagine how much time we spent running around playing!! One team was a Recreation/League team... a relaxed level of play. She was the team catcher, and it was amazing to watch her skills improve, as the season went on. She also decided that she wanted to try out for the Tournament/Travel team... I wondered about her readiness for such a serious team as that... well, she was chosen for the team! She wasn't ready to play catcher at that level, but she did do a fine job in the outfield. =) It was positively amazing to watch her as the season progressed- she improved her game by leaps and bounds. She had a wonderful coach who took a genuine interest in her, and he helped her develop a true love for the game. Now she has decided she wants to play "Fall Ball" as well... not sure how we'll fit that in between Volleyball and Basketball, but we'll find a way.
Now that summer is upon us and Fastpitch is over, I find myself carting her back and forth to various sports camps. After this week is finished, Molleigh will have a different skills camp to attend each week (for volleyball and basketball), right up until school starts in less than a month!! Last week, Molleigh attended a 4 day/3 night team basketball camp... it was SO hard for me to let her go. It wasn't because I didn't trust Molleigh, I was just desperately afraid that something would go wrong with her Diabetes. The Lord was watching over her, of course, and I had to "let go." She was such a pro! She kept acurate checks of her blood sugars, and administered her own insulin doses... She is caring for herself at 13 in such a mature way. Of course she has had the disease since she was 3, and really doesn't remember life without it. That is a blessing, I suppose.
In May, Glen and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We never really "do" anything for our anniversaries... we never really have. But I'm thinking that when 20 rolls around, we deserve a cruise or something. =)
In June, we enjoyed a short little vacation up to Branson, MO. Day one of the vacation wasn't so great... found a hair in my breakfast pancakes, a piece of wax paper in my lunch cheeseburger, lost power at the hotel for a short spell, and Glen managed to get a speeding ticket! But after we got all of those little fiascos out of the way, we saw some shows, met some friends and their kids at Silver Dollar City, and just had a blast. Branson has several outlet malls, and while I don't usually have much luck in the shopping department...this time, we struck GOLD! We found Polo Shirts appropriate for Molleigh's school uniform at the Gap for $8 each, and jeans for her at Aeropostale for $10, just to name a few of the steals/deals we found!! I RARELY pay full price for anything, but when I can buy something for less than I could make it (as though I could actually make something! HA!), I go nuts. And nuts I went. lol
So now the countdown to Molleigh starting 8th grade has begun. I remember 8th grade. It doesn't seem like that long ago. And now my baby is about to embark upon it. My Hubby and I look forward to sharing every up and down moment with her; moments that will all too soon fly by and become memories. Gotta soak it all up while we can. The clock is ticking. Fast.
And that, my friends, is a very short, abridged version of my life over the last 5 months. I hope you all have been well and happy. I think of you often, and smile. =)
Peace to you.

Love to you, Tracy!
Molleigh is quite the athlete! Tessa is just interested in volleyball and Ethan just picked up an interest in basketball.
Molleigh could be up for some scholarships if she keeps this up...
Sounds as if life is going well
