Here Comes the Bridal Shower
I'm in Birmingham for the night. Tomorrow morning I'll get to worship with my son and his fiancee and then attend her first bridal shower! So excited!
In other news....I have decided I MUST take better care of myself. So I bought I bike. It's easier on the knees than walking and a lot more fun!

Tomorrow we're slated for 2-12" of snow, "depending." Isn't that a nice big window of possibility for the weather dudes and babes to hit :-)
Bridal showers: Our season of life. I'm excited for you and them and me and Laura and ours!
Bike rides: Ted has taught me to ride on all kinds of roads--city streets, neighborhoods, busy through streets, country roads. It definitely can be dangerous! I feel the safest no matter what road I'm on if I wear bright yellow or other brightly colored clothing. I rode 6 miles yesterday and 4 the day before. It was chilly out, so I wore an obnoxiously bright yellow riding jacket.
It's important to know where to be as you approach intersections and how to behave in traffic. Sometimes, you are a "car" and sometimes you are more like a pedestrian (although pedestrian is always supposed to face traffic; cyclists always ride in the flow of traffic).
It took practice with Ted for me to feel comfortable riding in traffic. Do you know anyone who rides that would be willing to show you the ropes? Even someone who does road racing would probably be willing to slow down and help you through a nice ride.
