The opening subject to my long-neglected blog comes from a fascinating song; the singer complains to a waiter that there is a fly swimming in his soup (which I think is a reasonable complaint). A verse or two later the singer continues to complain about his soup, only this time it has the Dow Jones in his soup. I still haven't been able to figure out quite what it means, but I like it.
Anyways, I am doing what I do best: avoiding writing a paper (actually two) and not studying for a test. It is also a very good thing that one of my very big tests was postponed to next week; that makes me extremely happy.
Besides school, Jimmy and I have been busy with our businesses. I've been designing, patterning, and sewing for my business. I spent last Friday patterning and making a shirt which is not finished because I accidentally sewed the zipper on inside out; so it is currently resting on the dressform with one sleeve and the horrid zipper hanging out in defiance, just waiting for me to take it apart. But I must say the one sleeve looks really good...
Some new things in my life:
-I have started washing my hair with baby shampoo
-I have experienced a pedicure
-no more water drips from the skylight above our bed
-uninterrupted sleep
-getting up earlier every week day than I ever imagined I
would even be able to get up
-an organized sewing room
-lots of friends either getting married or married
friends having babies!
Things here in Bowling Green have been going well. Jimmy and I are ready for school to be over and out of the way; Lord willing it will only be one more year for him and forever for me...
I suppose that I really should get to those papers that are lingering over my head so I can go to bed and wake up at an unbelievable hour to get to class.
Kookookachoo everyone!

So, I have decided to quit my job as a server and stay at home and sew while working on a clothing line for spring '07. I will no longer be owned by the Bosnian mafia and I can go to Bible studies, singings, spend time with my husband, and have a life. I'm really excited! It's been really hard trying to go to school, work, and be a wife at the same time; there's so much at home that I have to get done and don't have time for right now. Can't wait for the end of the next two weeks. So if anyone knows someone in the Bowling Greena area needing curtains made or something like that pass the word on.
Since my last post my wonderful and amazing husband and I went to Hawaii for our belated honeymoon!!! We had such a wonderful time and are planning another trip in the next 2 or 3 years, Lord willing. I have pictures that I would like to post on here but I've forgotten how to do that. Maybe I'll get it figured out...
It's time to sign off and get some stuff done.
Kookookachoo everyone

So now April and Tim are married and their wedding was beautiful! I had fun getting to visit a little more with people that I hardly saw at our own wedding. The ride back to Bowling Green with Holly, Alex, and Pookie had a few excitements and very little sleep. Just a word of warning: don't stop at mile marker 19 in West Virginia, especially at 2:30 in the morning; the locals are likely to want to fight with 2 completely sober men, not to mention wanting to be "co-pilots" for 3 women.
Taylor and Adam are here with us this weekend and utlizing the futon and extra mattress very well. They have been off galavanting with friends almost since they got here but we're cooking them a yummy breakfast, so maybe they'll hang out for a little bit.
I love my job; it's so nice when people request you to be their server and know you by your name. On an exciting work note, all the umbrellas from the patio were stolen the other night; the big boss was not very happy that day. So I decided that I would carry drinks to my table on a tray becuase he likes us to use the trays; this was unfortanutely not a good idea for me because the trays are very impractically heavy and when you have 5 glasses filled with drinks, they tend to get heavier. Yes, I spilled. thankfully I spilled on the chair that no one was sitting at. Spilling also does not make the big boss man happy.
On a sad note,my wonderful husband made me get rid of a lot of clothes. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And now I have a lot more space. And, I'm going to take my clothes to the consignment shop and maybe make a little bit of money! so then I can buy more clothes....
I am also still writing thank-you notes; I can only write so many before they all start to sound the same and I don't want them to sound the same. I have decided that no one ever has to send me a thank you note for anything I give them.
Oh what a week! Kookookachoo everyone!

So now that it's been a month and some odd days after the wedding I shall proceed to update on my lovely married life.
First of all, the wedding turned out perfectly! Nothing went wrong! I even finished my dress that morning (thanks to
Meghan! I am sooo thankful to all the wonderful people back home who helped out tremendously; it only turned out so beautifully because of them. I got the proofs back from the Hardmans this weekend and they are beautiful; I love them!
Married life is wonderful. I love being married! Jimmy and I have been very busy since we got back from the wedding. Our serving jobs take up a lot of time but we both really like serving. We have also been fixing up our apartment, doing lots of painting and patching up walls. We really love our apartment and now we don't want to leave. We decided we should just buy the whole building and knock out the walls between our apartment and Mr. Perkin's office next door; then we can have one big apartment above, rent out one of the retail spaces below, and use the second retail space for our own business.
Have to iron my shirt for work and head off to the restaurant now. kookookachoo everyone!
