They say there’s a first time for everything. While I haven’t sent Christmas cards to family and friends in the past, I am looking forward to mailing some for the first time this year! I have always enjoyed looking at the cards my parents get from family members each holiday season. I forced Brandon to have pictures made a few weeks ago and we just got them back today. They are the first pictures we have had made since our wedding 3.5 years ago and I was very pleased with the price and quality we got them for. I especially like the fact that our photographer (a girl I went to school with) also includes a copyright release with the photos so that we can print as many as we'd like! I have searched the Shutterfly website for their
Christmas photo cards and have narrowed it down to my favorites, as shown below! Which one is your favorite? (Click each pic for full size picture.)

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may cheat you;
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, someone could destroy overnight;
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it will never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Last week I volunteered as a counselor at FC Alabama Sr Camp. This was my second time as a counselor. It is so encouraging to spend a week with young(er) people who are trying to put God first in their lives. We didn't have any problems with behavior or disrespect at all (that I know of). One of the major parts of camp is singing hymns every morning and night and I learned several new hymns. I especially like one called "In Christ Alone".
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt of life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

I have a tax question that I can't find the answer to. If you know the answer, please help!
My question is about the American Opportunity credit. The info on the IRS website says it is applicable to the "first four years of post-secondary education". Well, Brandon has been in college for over four years, but has not yet completed his "four year" degree. Does that mean he is not eligible for the credit??
Thanks!
