The Egyptians Chased the Israelites

Aimee and I are teaching the 3-5 yr olds at Seffner right now. We've been talking about Moses for a few weeks and have been noticing the lack of songs about him (or at least our lack of knowledge of these types of songs). Tonight, Lydia and Kalee fixed that. This is the song they wrote, completely out of the blue, without help from Aimee or me:

The Egyptians chased the Israelites,
God put a cloud between them
And the Egyptians couldn't see them,
But the Israelites had light,
Because they listened to God.
The Egyptians chased the Israelites,
And the sea splashed on them,
Because they didn't listen to God.

**The tune is probably not one you are familiar with, since it wasn't even one we were familiar with. It changed each of the three times we tried to sing it. But with a little work on meter and rhyme scheme, I think there is potential for it.** :)

-for thanksgiving plans (which could of course change in an instant).
-that I have no more papers due this week.
-for popcorn and chatting with my roomie.
-for some really great friends! (More than I can highlight in this post.)
-for some challenging opportunities.
