Almost there....

Well, I'm almost across the finish line! Just three more days before I get my girls back. I'm finding that this week is the hardest part, it's close but not close enough. Please, pray for them on Wed/Thurs. as they wing their way home to me!

Sorry I've been so slack with writing you lately. I can honestly say that I've been very busy lately, but I've been busy in the past and still managed to write. I think there are two things at work which are conspiring against the writing. 1. a spiritual flatspot...as usual these tend to go unnoticed in my life until i'm on my way out of them. 2. i just haven't been that interested in sitting in front of the computer lately.....thus haven't been on here, FB, or slic much. Over all I reckon it's good for me to spend less time on the puter, but I do feel the need to get back to the writing.

best I can say is...we'll see....

In other news, I've had quite a few minor health problems over the last six months to a year. It's mostly been small annoying things, but behind them all there has been a general feeling of fatigue/exhaustion. After a fair amount of 'encouragement' from Melaine, I've gone to the doctor to get it sorted and it seems things are moving forward. The doctor's theory is that a combination of sinus issues and *ahem my weight, have affected my sleep quality which is slowing wearing me out. So now I'm on a diet, and a nasal spray. It's amazing how much of difference it has already made. I'm sleeping longer and deeper and feel much better during the day. Stay tuned as the doc now has to work out a long term strategy...

love to you all, and hope i'm around a bit more here in the future!

You know, I'm glad you still say "reckon". :) And I've missed reading your various updates on here.

Praying for you to get past your flatspot and for better rest and health.

Actually, ^^^ he says "reckon" again. Aussies are great reckoners, I think.

I'm so with you on not noticing the flat spots until the ground begins to slope upward a bit again, Eddie. I love you bunches. Thanks for sharing your girls. I have treasured the time.

I'm so happy to hear that you're feeling better! Let me know if there's anything I can do. :)
Sad to have missed Melaine and Matilda while they were closer. Matt and I were encouraged by his conversation with you.

Hello Ed. Yes, sinus infections will surely play havoc with depression -- a known medical fact and one that my own husband has had to deal with. About the fatigue, we learned that snoring and sleep apnea will increase heart problems. Dave finally was tested and found what I thought was a mild problem (except that snoring!) was actually a major problem with apnea. So he is on a C-Pap machine now and doing MUCH better. But the doctor said we waited much too late to look into the problem . . . What has surprised me is that his sinus problems have been reduced at least by 2/3s!
So glad you are seeing a little daylight and your girls are coming home!
