Mark 11:40-42.

In this passage, Jesus is giving us a model that we DON'T look down on anybody! We should 'touch' and have contact with people that are repulsive to us. We are too quick to try to retain our respectability and there are certain people that the world tells us that we shouldn't be close to. For my generation - people who are uncool. The world tells us that if we reach out to them then others will think we are like they are. Jesus wasn't like that, instead of looking down at the leper He cared about him and reached out and touched him! I thought about this passage in connection with First John and it definitely made me re-think my life, "If anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother." 1 John 4:20,21.

I hope this is helpful! Leave a comment so that I'll be more motivated to do these, please. [:

I see you doing this, Logan, and it is a major encouragement to me. It helps to balance out the 'discouragement' to me from seeing so many others NOT reaching out to the 'uncool'. WWJD

I agree! Jesse and I could host that :) We like Scrabble a lot... and Jesse loves Monopoly so if anyone ever wants to play that, I'm sure he'd be up for it. We also have a Wii so a game night is definitely doable.

Prodigal Son.

Unfortunately, I have neglected my little nook of the internet. I've been thinking about it for the few minutes that I've reconnected and I can easily see the benefits and blessings of taking advantage of this black, dark, yet enjoyable blog spot.
I'm going to try again to start blogging weekly and see how I do! Thanks for taking me back guys! :]

Random Update.

I've been working day and night but, it's definitely rewarding! And even with being on the move alot, I love making room in my spare time to listening to Kleinwood's annual singings. They're BEAST and I encourage anyone with a few minutes to listen/sing along -- it's really encouraging!

Here's the link. I hope you enjoy it! :]

'09 Men's Camp.

If words could only describe how beneficial this camp was to me I would still be talking.
I wish everyone could feel how euphoric, satisfying and useful it was. From deep conversations in the middle of the night with brothers that I've only known for a few days to sitting at the feet of wise, experienced teachers for 1,350 minutes -- not to mention all of the conversations with them outside of class!

There is only one thought filling my mind right now: If all of the camp brothers love each other so much that they spend countless hours talking and encouraging, when their bodies want to sleep and yet, they've known each other for only a few days -- how much more does our Heavenly Father love us when He has known us, talked to us, and encouraged us for our whole lives!

I have been absolutely amazed at how much He loves me.

Thanks. I'm hoping that my parents will let me go to 3 camps this summer! But, I haven't build up the courage to ask them yet. I'm praying that they let me go though!

Reviving my Pleo.

Not only did I leave pleonast abruptly but, I often read many posts and blogs of my pleo pals for months without a posting a single comment.
YIKES!
But no need to worry. I'm back for good (fingers crossed). And hopefully, with a lot of posts. I definitely found postings my ideas, thoughts, opinions and things that bothered me extremely helpful and encouraging. Especially with the feedback you gave.
