Well, looks like after months of searching, I finally have a job. I passed the drug test (no surprise) and the forklift test and have orientation today. I'll then officially begin my job on Monday. I've gotta start saving. I have school and a new computer to start saving for (among other things). My computer is kinda broken, and I can't afford for it to die its final death during the semester. Not much else going on here. I can't find an internship...the have simply dried up up here, so I'm creating my own website-design/branding-design company. I'll let you all know when I have the site up and running.

Here it is:
My Website! It's a little project that I'm working on. My computer is falling apart(not my fault). The hardware is literally dying and I need to replace it. Well, there was a girl named Leah Culver who tried something new to replace hers. She sold advertising space on the back of her new laptop. Each ad is laser-etched into the back of the new laptop (a MacBook Pro). This is what I am trying to do, because I'm a poor college kid, and my laptop needs some replacing. If anyone wants an ad on the back or knows of a business that would like to advertise, all of the information is on the site. Please help me get the word out to everyone you know. I'm currently working on getting some local places to advertise with me, so we'll see what happens. This laptop will be seen everywhere from Milwaukee to Houston, and especially on campus with me in Milwaukee, getting exposure to all kinds of students, prefessionals, and lecturers every day! I'll keep you posted on my progress, and update my site accordingly with new pictures of layouts, lists of advertisers, etc. I will hopefully have some pics of my computer up soon...there is no way pictures can do my computer justice...most of the problems are functional more than the aesthetic.

This semester has been the most brutal as far as constant work is concerned. I only have 16 credit hours, but my programming class (perhaps the most critical class of my college career) should alone be 16, considering the many MANY hours that we each put in working on it each week. Each week, I get more homework before the previous was due, and that keeps me busy for most of the week. I can't believe that we are sneaking up on the first midterm (yes, we have two of them).
Beyond school, there really hasn't been much going on. I'm sick right now, and trying to get over whatever I've got, although it seems to be coming back after I thought that I'd kicked it. The weather has been beautiful, and the colors are beginning to change. I really missed Fall when I was in Florida, and yes, I even missed Winter. :) This'll be Holly's first Fall, and she's pretty excited about it.
Not much else to report. Although this won't be too popular with some...go Brewers!

Well, after making some phone calls this morning, I found out that my application with Chrysler was closed, meaning that I met all of the qualifications for employment and the application has finally been sent from the subcontractor to Chrysler for consideration. Funny thing is that when I called Chrysler, they said that they weren't doing the hiring, but it was subcontracted out, and that I would either be called by Chrysler corporate or I would receive a rejection letter from them. If I haven't torn my hair out by the time that Holly gets here, it'll be amazing. I'm afraid that what Holly said will be true. They are gonna keep putting it off and then will start me on the Monday that she is finally here. If I get working that quickly, I'll be happy even though I'll be working while she and her family are up here, because I'm not getting paid to not have a job.
We've had the craziest weather lately. While the rest of the area around us is getting pounded with rain, for some weird reason, lately the storms have been splitting right in our area and passing around us, while the other areas have all kinds of hail, damaging winds and flooding. It's really kinda strange to see it going on all around, and see the effects on the tv, but at the same time be feeling none of the results.
At least I haven't been sucked into some soap opera like AS THE WORLD TURNS or worse still, some soap on Telemundo, one of our spanish channels. I've gotta go because ALL MY CHILDREN is coming on...just kidding.
