Played hooky Sunday night and spent the next 2 days at my coworker's home in Plymouth. I brought my son along and we had a good time with her and her family. Pool, movies, horses, s'mores, music, very late nights, etc. Got a good deal of sun too; which of course I'm paying for now.

Tuesday night Amanda and I went to W-M and my boss came up to tell me that most everyone was coming in 2 hrs early Wed. because we had extra trucks and major VPs coming. Later, someone mentioned we could get up to 8 hrs of OT b/c many were coming in on their days off. I laughed and said "so, I could come back, clock in and still work 4 hrs tonight." Me and my big mouth! Long story short.....ended up, I took Amanda home, changed and came back later and worked. Considering my "hooky" day, it'll not be OT, but just making up time. Last night was crazy. Back to School is where I"ve been for about 3 weeks. UGH!

My van situation has been crummy the past 2 months. Pretty much, my blue van I've had for years blew it's radiator. I had it towed in, talked into buying another van on trade, the van on trade had a BAD TRANNY and I was dumb about the transaction b/c I felt kinda forced into it (another story) so I didn't remember to get a sales transaction receipt so I can only prove I paid 1/4 of what I did. Of course, I paid cash too.

See this guy bought the van off a woman who had a radiator replaced but the repair shop didn't FLUSH the Tranny and Radiator lines thoroughly. So the coolant and tran fluids mixed and ruined the tranny. She had trouble and sold it AS SCRAP to this guy for $275. He took it off her property via flatbed tow and then put it on his lot for $1,500. (At least I know this so when my radiator is fixed in older van, I'll remember to make sure they flush lines thoroughly.)

Anyhow, when I realized I was duped, I called a tow company and had my older van (which I still had title) taken off their property and put at another garage. Drove bad tranny van (ALICE) back/forth to fair but it was difficult. Ended up putting $$ into it to fix and it now drives fine. Meanwhile, older van (BELLE) is sitting waiting for a radiator and eventually new head gasket. I just pay for 'rent' of it sitting there.

Nothing much more.

Adopted a bunny who needed a home.
Possibly moving later this year, not sure where.
Conditions no worse; no better in other areas.
Thinking of going back to school to complete BA degree when things settle down (??).

Not looking forward to working tonight; my close friends there are the only reasons I endure it.

I ran across it accidentally. After listening to it, I figure one can take this song in many directions whether spiritually or relationship-wise; I certainly can relate in some ways to it and understand the feelings. Yes, I know it is "old" to most people. ;)

Not much going on.

Work was long but we had fun.

Dog chewed my favorite Dr. Scholl's sandals. I bargain bought them last fall for $3. I totally forgot she likes to take shoes and chew them up. I changed my shoes last night before work and left them out. UGH!!! These were the only sandals that went w/ everything and were very comfy.

Our neighbors are so nice. I want to stay in this neighborhood.

Need to go to bed.

I got a real crew last night and was in charge of HBA. I had the older man who whines about everything (about how he can't get it done), a new guy who is nice but very slow and in no hurry to do anything, Becky....our wanderer, and me. Let's just say that everyone did their job except Becky who took almost 4 hrs to do 3 carts of soap and never got to pads. I did shampoo and part of hair color, and sorted the breakpacks and later the 2 carts of picks. The guys punched out the shaving, deo & dental.

Well, at lunch time when we were mostly finished, the big mgr came up and had a pow-wow w/ us. He chewed us all out b/c we were supposed to be done....but really it was directed at Becky. He let the guys move to their new dept. and I had to come back, do the pads Becky couldn't do. Then the mgr came back and said for me to move to the next dept. and Becky had to STAY THERE until it was all done. Then she came to last break late and got hauled into the office for that. I wish they'd just not torment her by dragging it out and ax her now.

My concern is tonight. Both gals are gone and I'll be alone. Don't know if he'll put me in HBA again or in softlines all night. In fact, I've gotta get ready to go now. HUGS!

My weekend is almost here. I'll get on Farmtown and get some crops in, actually get housework done, mow the yard, etc.

It's Sunny and "Warm". Finally we might get a SUMMER heat rather than constant chilly winds. Of course, then I'll be sweltering at work. Oh well, nothing's perfect.

There's Garage Sales nearby but I've resisted the urge to purge my purse.

Work wasn't as bad as I thought and I'm so glad. Poor coworkers...they have to put up w/ me singing as I worked in the HairColor/Soap aisles. I found one of my coworkers graduated from Penn and was in Choir too. She graduated in the early 70s and I found she lives nearby me. I've always liked her because she speaks her mind and is truthful and very funny. So the first part of the night was enjoyable....as far as work goes. I get so much soap/shampoo/gunk on my shirt and hands some nights. Seriously, one night I went to push carts and it had rained so my hands bubbled up making it slippery. LOL!

Later I went to apparel and worked putting away carts of undies, socks, shirts, purses, etc. and helped my coworker clean up. It was a doable night. The wayward one was forced to do her computer modules and even had someone helping her so she didn't show up until way later.

About 45 min before work ended, the mgr told us two to zone a few grocery aisles. So we did the coffee/pickle/jelly aisle. She did a much better job than before but still wandered off when she was done but I'm glad (for her sake too) she actually did some work well. No other news.

I might take a stab at the lawn. And perhaps clean out the van. I know I'll need a nap later tho. In fact, I feel like I need to go back to bed right now. I'm so unproductive at home. UGH!

The dog might be having a false pregnancy or pyometra. Her mammo glands are swollen like she's nursing and they feel really warm. So we're keeping an eye on her. Not looking forward to needing a visit at the vet.
