My new year...

This year looks to be a good one for me.(or at least so I tell myself) I am looking forward to my schedule this semester. I'm not going to working too much (18-20hrs) and my class load should be good so that I give myself an even better chance for excelling in all my classes(which I really need to do).

Break was awesome. I was able to hang out with Mike and Chels. I hung out with the guys, and caught up with several friends I hadn't seen in a while. [I also had one of those night's that will not be easily forgotten. It was one of those nights that you realize in the middle of it, that you better enjoy every second, because it won't ever happen again... good stuff for sure.]

Books: I've started reading again(reading for fun that is) I am reading an excellent book called "Purpose for the Pain". I am also reading one of my VoIP networking books to brush up and continue larning about the field I will be eventually be in.

This spring:
My schedule gives me tuesday and thursday mornings free. This will give me time for preparing for the several bibles studies I have going on. (Ezekiel, Isiah, and a few of the Minor Prophets) It will also give me time for working out and finally getting into the shape I want to be in...

Music:

Biffy Clyro: These guys are amazing(and Irish)

I have also fallen in Love with Kings of Leon lately...

welp,

This will be short, mainly because i still have 4+ hrs of homework to do. But here's what's been going on lately.

(to preface this, i work at the airport) From tuesday to friday i put in almost 40 hrs of work because of the new airport opening. It wasn't alot of hard work all the time, but it was just long. I am currently semi sick with flu stuff...

I will be lucky to pull out mediocre grades this semester. I hoped it would be better, but that's what i get i guess...

The only thing I really like doing right now is playing my drumset, but I broke my snare head last week, so I'm forced to use my old snare untill i can hopefully get a new one this week...

I'm looking forward to thanksgiving so i can finally get possibly 1 or 2 days where i do nothing school or work related.

Even with school and work consuming my life, I am at least enjoying 2 bible studies right now. I'm going through the book of Ezekiel with Jeremy Dehut and going through the book of Amos with my bf from high school Justin...

That's all for now, maybe a better update at some point in time.

OOOOHHHH!!!!! I Saw Metallica last week in Columbus Ohio and it was very amazing...

My music selection for this post is from 2 bands that will go down in my book of top bands. Bayside is in the top 5 and The Bravery in the top 15.

BAYSIDE

THE BRAVERY

it's been a while

2 entries in 1 day, Crazy!

Well, this evening I got in one of my good ole fashion moods to play my drum set. I've missed that. My drumset(and guitars on occasion) have been my greatest outlet's. The past 3 years i've been up in lafayette and most of the time without my set, so it's nice to go out there when i need to, instead of just getting out there when i can. Back in highschool, i would pretty much always play part or all of the System of a Down CD "Toxicity". I did the same this evening and I excited that i remembered almost all of it. I ended by playing through a song from one of my all time favorite bands, Story of the Year. It was a song of their first album Paige Avenue, "In the shadows". Not as much the song itself, but the album brought back memories of back in the day going to chicago with my brother, Brandon, Stevo, KC, Hutch and Wes to go see them in concert with Anberlin. I definitely miss stuff like that, but things change, people change, and some even move to Vermont.

Enough with that though. It felt good to play, and I feel that I will be visiting out there more frequently.
