I am now one week into Physical therapy and it is going very well. The doctor says I am strong and he can work me harder than he usually does. He put me on the leg press and the bike the other day. He said that he usually doesn't put anyone on either of those until the second or third week.

As for the Cowboys I have my rant and opinions in my column. Basically I am disgusted with them but it doesn't matter.

I have also decided to move my column to a new website because it is too hard to have two pleonast accounts. So look for my column here now. (Derek Land's Sports Column)

The surgery went well and I am scheduled to return to Dr. Baker for a follow up appointment tomorrow. Everything went according to plan I am wearing a brace and using crutches so far. After my appointment with Dr. Baker tomorrow I also have my first physical therapy session. Aside from a whole bunch of pain and limited movement I feel fine. The pain medication that the hospital gave me has been my best friend. I am moving slower than a turtle and should hopefully return to school Wednesday or Thursday.

I really hope Ohio State wins tonight because they will never hear the end of it especially all of this nonsense about how the SEC is superior over the BIG TEN.

Lastly, I am starting a new pleonast alongside this one. (Derek Land's Sports Column)
Being a senior in high-school makes you really consider what you want your career to be in. After thought and consideration as of right now I am aspiring to be a sports-writer or work somewhere in the sports media world. It's what I love to do and watch and as most people who know me know I have LOTS of opinions. So this new pleonast will be alongside this main one but it will be my own column on the sports world.

My ACL Reconstruction Surgery is still on for Monday morning...

I won't be able to eat or drink after midnight on Sunday night so my mother is going to treat me to a nice big juicy steak and a really good friend told me...

"Wow you are really lucky! Hospitals have the best jello ever!" =)

Surgery Update: I am going to a follow up appointment with my surgeon tomorrow ... and if all goes as planned my surgery will be preformed on December 31st ... I will keep you all updated ...
