It is midsummer here. The highs are upper 80s and the lows at night are low 50s. After our trip to AZ for Britt to go to camp for the last time, Mom came home with us. She is here enjoying the nice weather and we are enjoying having her. We had a wonderful visit with Hailey before we went to AZ. Mindle is the sweetest son-in-law to work it out for her to come. I think we'll keep him. On our way home from AZ we went to the Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon. So beautiful!!! I love driving on roads I have never been on before. I am more alert and enjoy looking at the new scenery. I am more nervous about the roads of life that I haven't experienced yet. Sometimes I worry about what the future holds, health problems and other things. I pray everyday for more faith and hope to ride the road of life with anticipation of new things!!!

Happy Independence Day!!! Fireworks are legal here. The weather is beautiful and we have antique vendors everywhere!! This is a great place to be for the 4th. We are going to have Blackened Chicken sandwiches and home made ice cream!! Yum!! Then hike up the hills behind our house to watch the town fireworks. Fun!! Anyone want to come?? Everyone's invited!!! Hug a Vet!!!

Well, we went to Disneyland. We saw Up at midnight too. It was so cute. Touching and funny!! We ran around at break-neck speed for a week and I am exhausted. Was I ever able to keep up that pace?? We got home and I have worked this week more than I have in a while. I am getting ready for the Kenyons to come visit. We are all very nearly empty nesters. Weird!! Where has the time gone? We have had a lot of rain here lately and there are mud slide alerts near the river. Everything is so green and beautiful!! Sometimes I love it here!!! Sometimes I am home sick for AZ..."Squirrel!!"

We are still below freezing at night, but the days are beautiful!! We were in the upper 60s today so we did a lot of yard work. I love being outside and would always much rather do yard work than house work. Where is my Hailey?? She used to do house work for me because I wanted to be out and she wanted to be in. That worked well for us both. We are off to Disneyland week after next!! Can't wait to be with Hailey and Mindle!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!

Last night Rich and I were watching a movie. We had seen some pretty fierce looking clouds on their way in, very dark with green color. Very forboding! We let the dog in as we do not know what his reaction might be to weird weather. He promptly fell asleep at Rich's feet. As we were sitting there we heard the wind hitting and shaking the house! At one point Joxer raised his head and Rich and I looked at each other and noted how strong the wind was. We then get a phone call from our neighbor across the street telling us that our dog kennel had taken flight and was rolling into our next door neighbor's yard!!! Never would we have thought that thing could have blown away. It is really heavy steel constructed metal!! Lucky we brought the dog in, eh? To say the least, it is mangled and the tarp in torn. We have to probably take it apart and try to get it back together. It was all over in 10 minutes...that's Idaho for ya!!
