Nice weather

Did more cavaletti work today. Fitted the english saddle to Justin. Tried to spook J with the neon rain coat. Plan to go on a trail ride with Elizabeth and her girls, in a few weeks. Some ranch near Glenrose.

Bow

Yesterday, Justin did a beautiful bow, without a halter on. Yea.
It has been pretty cold and really, really windy, so am not getting any riding in. Boo. Just continueing with ground work.

it has been raining or cold or I have been really busy. So haven't ridden in a few days. Have done some ground work and repaired the jump standards. NOw they are a pretty blue. Looks like a big storm coming this evening.

Jackque LaRue's dad Jack Thompsom has died. So very sorry for their loss. Please keep all of them in your prayers.
If I am able, I plan to attend the funeral tomorrow.

On a lighter note, I started making hat pins/tacks. These are blingy things that look cute on cowboy hats and baseball caps. Even when I need to wear hats and caps, I want to look girlie. There are butterflies, frogs, gecko, crosses, horses, etc.. Am doing it on a small scale just because I wanted them and can't find anything like them. :)
No I don't have a store or website. We will see if it gets to that.

    It is fun to see how much the students like Mark. He is probably one of the toughest teachers at the high school, but the kids can tell he really cares about them.

Rain

We were to have a CERT Mounted training here at my house, tomorrow. The plan was to desensitize to the max. We have lots of extreme obstacles set up. There is even a kiddy pool, to walk your horse through. It is at least 7 feet across and 18" deep. I put up tarps, noodles, jumps, things to drag, things to carry, lariats, and bridges. It has been raining for about 2 days. I will not complain. We need all we can get.
I looks like rain for tomorrow, so we had to cancel.
If there is a break in the rain, I will try to ride by myself.

Borrowed a pvc pole to practice with, from Jim. This one is thinner and easier to hold onto. It is a little longer, also.
