Happy Halloween

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. The girls got to go trick or treating at Daniel's work this afternoon. Since we were not home this evening, I sat out a big bowl of candy on the front porch and it was empty when we got in from church services. So either we had a lot of trick or treaters or someone got a lot of candy at our house!!

I didn't know that was Lauren! I thought it was part she was like a pumpkin or something! Haha.

How funny! Most children want things like their friends, but you rdaughter just doesn't want to steal anything from her firends. How sweet! Ella's bike is a Dora one. It had a backpack on it. I think Wal-Mart still has them.

Tate Farm

We took the kids to Tate Farm on Friday afternoon to play and pick their pumpkins. We had perfect weather and it wasn't very crowded. Emma is still scared of the cotton bin, but at least this year she would play in the corn bin. Lauren loved the animals the best, especially the puppies.

Emma was too scared to jump into the hay by herself, so Daddy jumped with her.

As you can see, a good time was had by all. I can't wait to go back next year!!

I just read your post on Leah's blog about Emma wanting to roast marshmellows at the Corums. If you come Sunday we plan to have them. I am not working Saturday so it looks like I will get to come to the party after all! Missed you Wednesday.

I decided to let Emma watch the Toy Story movies since the characters are all over Disney World. I thought she would enjoy them more if she knew who they were. She watched the first one a couple of weeks ago and she liked it. Today I put in Toy Story 2 for her to watch. After about 15 minutes she starts screaming for me to turn it off because it is "too scary"! Great, now I guess we can forget about riding the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Awwww. What a shame. It was my son's favorite ride. But you never can predict what'll scare the little 'un.

My kids have always surprised me by what they were scared of. Elliot recently has started saying that he's scared of Swiper the Fox (from Dora the Explorer). I can't really figure it out, because they almost never see Dora...

Awww..poor Emma. I don't remember that movie being scary, but then again it has been a long time since I have seen it. Emma might go on the ride once we get there, she will want to ride with her aunt!

A visit to the Plains

Daniel and I went to the AU game on Saturday with his sister and dad. Each time that I go back down to Auburn I am amazed at how much the campus has changed in 6 years. I don't even recognize the pharmacy school building anymore.

This is what the pharmacy building looks like now. (For those of you who have not been to Auburn in awhile - that massive building in the background is going up next to the business building)

We enjoyed the game very much even though our seats were in the upper deck, second row from the top! That is a lot of steps to climb.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend any time in Auburn after the game. I would love to plan a trip back there soon. There are so many people that I would love to see (especially Baby Cole).

The back yard is still a mess. I am not sure if he is coming back today or not because it looks like rain.

I've only been to Auburn once since I graduated (2 years ago now...ahh!). I want to go down for a game but probably won't be able to this year. It's going to be so weird. Glad you had fun at the game!

Our yard finally got finished yesterday(Thurs.)! He even sowed grass seed for us and dug trenches and put in drainage pipes fro 2 of our downspouts. He didn't charge us as much as he quoted. I guess it helped to know him.

We had over 300 retaining wall block plus about 500 brick to move. We still have some stepping stones to move but not a whole lot. The guy came out and gave us a quote Fri. It is a little more than what you paid b/c our lot is sloping. He realized, and I did after he told me, that we were in school together and graduated together. Then he started giving me better prices and telling me all the stuff he would not charge us for! hahahah
