Katie and I have done most of our wedding planning. I can't actually take any credit because Katie and her mom have done most. I like to think I've helped a little though.
We didn't really know where to start last November when we got engaged. In fact, we didn't really do anything until after Christmas. Since then we've stumbled our way forward doing a little at a time.
After christmas we found what we thought was the perfect place. A few weeks later we met in Nashville with Katie's parents and realized that Belle Meade would be a much better choice.
Although we still have a lot to do, so many other things seem to have come together. I guess things don't just "come together" though. There have been many people in both of our families who have helped us along the way. We are very grateful for all of the help!
Katie didn't exactly have a vision of what she wants our big day to look like. As a result I am glad that the two of us have been able to so much of the planning. We found out (and we are still finding out) what we like along the way. But we've done it together.
I'm glad we've been able to do it together.
