Where'd you go?
My voice is gone. I told Savannah earlier today that I had lost my voice. She asked where it went and if I could find it. It took her a little while to grasp the concept. I was fine this morning, and then as the day progressed, it just went away.
The mom I babysit for informed me today that we are going back to me watching the girls five days a week starting next week. I was really enjoying the four day thing. It does mean five extra dollars...but that's really not that much. I considered even asking for a pay raise, but it wouldn't be right, because I know she's tight on money. After the mondo fit that the oldest girl threw a few weeks ago, I was considering quitting, but it hasn't happened again. If it does, that's it. And if her girls start negatively influencing my girls, that's it.
Ariel and Sally, our two beloved fish, died yesterday. I think the nitrate levels in the tank got too high. Mister Kevin the frog lived. Today, we went to Petsmart and got two new fish and a snail. The two new fish are named....Ariel and Sally...as bequeathed upon them by Savannah. The snail is named Bob, courtesy of Madeline. We recycle names a lot. We also replaced the fake plant in the tank with a live plant. The poor plant didn't get a name.
I'm making a new scrapbook. This time it's for Rick. I bought the supplies to make him an Army scrapbook last year. And now, a year later, I'm finally getting around to making it. I'm also planning on making him a scrapbook of all of his guitars and giving it to him for his birthday, as kind of a creative inventory of instruments. Whether it will happen or not, we'll see. I do have paper and stickers for it. That's a start.
I haven't knitted in forever. My needles and yarn miss me.

I saw some knitted earmuffs today that were just "Spock" ears! They were so cute.
