I had a doctor's appointment today. I am about 4 cm dilated, 75% effaced, and baby is low! My doctor seems to think it will be really soon, so she set up an induction date for Monday, December 7. She doesn't think I'll make it to the induction date, but wanted to set it up as a back up plan. I never had an induction date scheduled with Eli so it's kind of weird knowing the latest possible date that my baby will be here. My dad is leaving on Monday to spend some time with my grandparents, so hopefully Eden will be here in the next couple of days so he can be there when she's born. My body sure is ready! I'm so anxious to see how big she is and what she looks like! I'm also anxious to get rid of the 30 pounds around my middle that is taking a toll on my back! Here's a picture of me at 39 weeks and 2 days:

Well, I never got around to posting pictures of Eli's birthday, but if you have a Facebook, you might have seen the pictures I posted on there. If not, hopefully this link will work:

We went to the zoo and had a family dinner for him. I can't believe he's already 2! I know I'm partial, but I think he is the cutest, sweetest, smartest child and such a joy to have. It'll be weird feeling that way about another child, but I know I will :) We also had a great Thanksgiving. Robert had the whole week off for the first time this year! It was nice having that extra time with him before Eden comes!
Well, I'm going to rest up since this baby could be here anytime! The next post will definitely be telling of her arrival!

So a bunch has happened lately. First of all, I'm an aunt for the first time! Ashley had her baby, Katherine Elizabeth Metcalf (Katie), on October 19. She is such a sweet baby, and we are excited that she is here! Here she is on her birthday:

Here she is with her proud Aunt Courtney & Uncle Robert:

And here she is with her adoring cousin Eli:

Hopefully, Eli's interaction with Katie will prepare him for his little sister's arrival in about a month! It's unreal to me that it's 4 weeks until the due date! This pregnancy really has gone by fast. Here is the most recent belly picture I have...I was 34 weeks in this picture:

I really feel like my belly has even grown a bunch since that picture so I'll have to post a new one soon. I just feel like she's going to be a big baby! Just for fun, I set up an online baby pool to try and make predictions about Eden's arrival! Keep in mind that Eli was one day late, and he weighed 9 lbs 8 oz and was 21 1/2 in. long! You don't have to be a member of pleonast or this website to play, so anyone can make a guess! So if you wanna play, here's the link:

Halloween was a lot of fun! Eli actually was a lot more aware of what was going on as opposed to last year. He couldn't even walk last Halloween! He was a ninja this year and looked so cute! We went to a Halloween party on Friday and then took him trick-or-treating with a friend on Saturday. He dug into his candy before we even got back home and had way too many lollipops! Here are some pictures from this Halloween and one from his first Halloween:

So my little boy will be turning 2 next week. Can't even believe it! We are taking him to the zoo tomorrow with some of my family. He's never been so it should be exciting for him. I'll post pictures after all the celebrating!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Well, I thought it was about time for an update. As of yesterday, I am now in my third trimester! Sometimes I think "Man, still 3 more months" while other times I think "Wow....only 3 more months to go! Ahhhhhh!" I've been feeling pretty good these past several months...just getting larger and larger! I have a feeling this little girl will be a big baby just like her brother! Here I am at 26 weeks, 5 days pregnant:

Last month on August 7, Robert and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long already! We never thought we would have one child and another on the way at this point, but we are so glad things have turned out the way they have.

Eli is a mess, as always! He is just becoming more and more verbal. It's so neat to see the different words or phrases he has each day. He thinks that everything belongs to him these days. Just a few minutes ago, Robert was driving off in his truck and he kept saying "My truck! My truck!" like how could Daddy take away my truck!!! I feel like I've been slacking on the picture and video taking these days in comparison to his first year, so I'll have to get better about that, but here are some of him that I think are cute:

So I have 2 more weeks of school left before I take a break from the classroom and start trying to finish up from home! I'm excited about not having to drive so far and get up so early, but nervous about making sure I stayed self-disciplined! My parents will watch Eli like they normally do in the mornings so I can focus on school stuff, so hopefully it'll all work out. Next weekend, Eli and I will be going with Amanda, Travis and her mom to the lake which we are excited about! It should be fun and relaxing! My sister, Ashley, is due to have baby Katie in about 5 weeks so my next post will probably be telling of her arrival! We can't wait!

We are having a girl!!!! She is a very shy, modest, or stubborn girl! We thought we weren't going to be able to find out today because she was rolled up in a ball and would not move her legs apart. The ultrasound tech was very kind and said she would check again after my appointment with my doctor. Luckily, after my appointment and some walking around, she decided to cooperate! They said that everything looks great with her which we are very thankful for. I still don't think it's really hit me that I'm having a girl, but maybe it will once I get some dresses and other girly stuff! We will name her Eden Leyanne (pronounced Lee-ann). I'll post a picture of the ultrasound whenever I get a chance!
