Philippians 1:3
We have been in a study of the book of Philippians in our Bible class. It's been a great study and I love going over things we have studied many times before because you can never study something too many times. I absolutely LOVE Philippians 1:3 where Paul says "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." I am so thankful for so many Christians who are in my life and there are some people who I truly thank God for every time I think of them. It had to be so refreshing for Paul to think about the brethren in Philippi and think of their faithfulness to God. We have all known Christians in our lives who have disappointed us by their behavior or by their unwillingness to uphold truth but then we see those Christians whose lives are truly centered around Christ and we can rejoice in their fellowship in the gospel. I also want to strive to have the mindset that Paul had in that he wasn't so concerned about his circumstances. What mattered to him was that his circumstances brought about "the furtherance of the gospel".

Hi Connie! it was great to see you again the other night at J Park. A good visit with lots of people I hadn't seen in a long time, an excellent lesson and great edification and a wonderful visit with my family and my precious new niece. What a way to start the week! Hope you're having a good one! Philippians is a great book! I have recently studied and taught it and I a main message that really struck me is how key the unity and fellowship of brethren is to being able to have joy in suffering. It's a very comforting letter to read and study. Enjoy! Cheers for now! -
our family's 'motto' is Philippians 2:14 - "Do all things without complaining and arguing." Which of course, is easier said than done. But I do love that book, too. -
