During the fall meeting of the Florida College Board of Directors (Friday, September 19, 2008), President Caldwell requested that the Trustees begin a search for the fifth President of Florida College and allow him to return to his tenured position on the faculty. After eighteen years as President, he will pursue other opportunities for service. In his statement, he said that he considers returning to his teaching position a “promotion.” He will continue in his present role until the Board chooses and installs the next President. Board Chairman, Paul Cook of Bowling Green, KY, will lead the Directors in its review, search, and selection process. President Caldwell has said that he expects to be the “chief cheerleader” for the man who follows him in this office.

On Friday, June 1, Boswell Hall's sixty-plus years of standing on the campus of Florida College came to a close as demolition workers brought its familiar walls and windows down to make room for the new, four-story Boswell Hall which will rise in its place.

One of the things I love about Friday's is the pledge. Another thing I love is their potatoe skins. But the Greatest thing I love about Friday's is the return of ABC's TGIF. Oh boy, that is quality television!
