Due to time contraints

I'm moving my blog efforts (what little there are) to Facebook. See you around...maybe

It's a festivus miracle!!

I don’t know what came over me. I blame it on all of the Christmas music that I have been listening to. Whatever it was, it was some sort of low level miracle. I’m sure your asking what the miracle was, well I will tell you. For a couple hours on Saturday and a couple more Sunday I made candy for my employees at work. More specifically coconut balls and peanut butter balls. I have never done anything like this before and I must say that candy is fun, but not easy to make. I know your probably saying "well, that’s no miracle." Conventionally speaking, I agree but I have never had the urge to make candy or give gifts to my employees before and, after finishing, have decided I will probably never do it again so that must be some sort of miracle. I'm telling you its that blasted Bing Crosby and his subliminal messages.

Hey man, you describe yourself to me as if I will need some help remembering you. How could anyone forget! It is good to hear from you. Sounds like you are enjoying the good life (parenting). Laura and I are in Tulsa where I am preaching for the Woodland Hills church of Christ. I have been here for one year now. Previously we lived in AR and then FL for a couple years. As you can see from my picture, 2 kids, boy (Caleb) and girl (Taylor). If Laura gets her way it won't be the last. Is Jeremy B. on Pleonast? If not tell him I said hello. By the way, I too did some baking this holiday, which is totally not me. I made some caramel corn, although I didn't share. You're a better man than I. It was good, but not quite like dad makes it. New Entry

I am so unoriginal I can't think of anything exciting or thought provoking to write, so I will just say I hope you all are having a great day and nice night at your local bible study.
  • nanavicki
Hey, son. Bible class was great. We were talking about all the invisible beings, good and evil, that are out there! i suppose if we could see them we would be amazed at how many there are. i love you, mom

Black Friday

The only thing black about this Friday is that I am at work. We had a nice Thanksgiving with a family from church. Got to play Knights of Catan for the first time and I WON!!! Anyway, much fun was had by all and now I get to spend a quite day at work. Days like today are actually nice here, because very few people come in and I can get caught up on my backlog of projects.

How was your Thanksgiving?
  • mattdevore

Other than trying to get over the stomach flu, I'm doing ok. I live in Bowling Green, KY, and work for Western Kentucky University. It appears that you are in Boise, ID? My former boss just moved out there this summer to take a position with Boise St. If you're ever over there, look up Allan Heaps. :^)

Discovery Channel

I definitely don't agree with all of the ideals and politics that are interwoven throughout the Discovery Channel programming, but I do love some of the shows they have added. Call me a nut, but I absolutely love the survival shows like Man Vs. Wild, I Shouldn't Be Alive, Survival Man, etc. Last night was the first night of a new show called Everest and it looks to be pretty exciting. I love all the 3D maps and stuff.

Yesterday they were saying that it is so cold near the summit of Everest that the human skin will freeze, if left bare, in less than 30 seconds. Ouch!

What show are you addicted to?

Right now I'm addicted to 24, Lost, and The Office. Good stuff.

Oh and Paula Deen's Home Cooking.

I really dig the History Channel. They had some cool shows on awhile back about ancient engineering that was very interesting.
