I HEART HATE Running
I have been running *cough* jogging *cough* about 3 miles 2 to 3 times a week for the past few weeks. I have never considered myself a runner. I hate running unless it is a necessary part of some other sporting activity (Most of you who know me know that I have no aversion to athletics). I still don't enjoy the actual running. Afterward I do feel OK though. There is something about the feeling of accomplishment you get from doing any kind of physical exercise.
This post is really to remind myself why I need to make an effort to control my health and quality of life as much as God allows me to. We all have a lot of excuses why we get into bad shape and suffer because of it, but not many of us have good reasons. If I decided to bail from my job I would not be surprised at the impact it would have in regards to providing for my family. Why should we be surprised at the results of ignoring our physical health? Do I expect to eat like I'm still 18 and then sit on my bum for 9+ hours a day and there be no consequences?
Sorry for the selfish post. Maybe someone else will get something out of it as well. I just wanted to have something in writing somewhere to remind myself to not quit doing something beneficial just because I don't enjoy it.

Me too. A lot. -
Thanks for the encouragement! I just started working out every Thursday with a coworker. Why should I let a new baby, a job and other things be an excuse for not taking care of myself. Having a baby is even more of a reason to take care of myself! -
Got your phone number...will call or text later. -
How's it going sweetie!
