Here I am back to working on being content in the state I am in. Don't get me wrong. Ohio is a wonderful state, but I've "been there, done that" for most of my 61 years.
I will try to put my memories - all very good - together on Word, but right now there is work to be done.

This week the blessings have been almost limitless.

Cherry, I have met your mother and she is so sweet ! (Just in case you had not noticed.)

The new songs of praise we have sung! The connections that have been discovered! The lessons we've heard! The scenery that has been enjoyed! The memories that have been shared! And, oh,yeah, the wonderful food that has been consumed!

There wasn't any real BIG news, just a LOT of little stuff and once again I have been so busy all day...

Departing for Nashville ( first trip, Alicia's not going this time) on Saturday. I seem to have everything I need, just need to get it all arranged into airline acceptable bags. I am so excited, never done anything like this before. I guess it is a retreat of sorts, anyway, a cabin with 5 or so sisters. So excited! Also I have been told that Tim Stevens, who was at FC when I was and who is leading the singing at the lectures we ladies are going to in Florence, Ala., will be able to give me the "whole scoop" on the Sikes family. My concerns are subsiding more each day.

Three young brothers, who are all scouts and who all adored my parents, have been pitching in to get my dad's garden back to remotely resembling a garden, rather than a jungle. It has been fun having them around and the change has really boosted my spirits! THAT was why I was SO tired last night.

I have found the needed two roommates to stay at the Hotel I told you about before - at the lowest rate. SO EXCITED! (still not cheap, but I remember being totally overwhelmed the first time I set eyes on the place - and it is a SPECIAL occasion for me! - more about that when the time comes!)

I'm so excited for you and this trip you're getting to make. Glad you found some roommates!

That's great to find someone else who knows you-know-who's family. When I first started dating Gene, we learned that the preacher where my mother and daddy worshiped knew both of us through the years, so Daddy asked him about Gene. His reply was, "Well, since he's been released from prison, he's become a fine upstanding citizen!"

This was NOT disappointing. I liked hearing of the garden help. We sometimes underestimate the value of such things. I hope you have a fabulous trip and your roommates turn out to be new friends.
