Hmm...

I have been so insanely busy as of late I haven’t had time to explain my schedule to anybody and as a
result no one can ever find me. I’ve decided to use my much needed update post to let you all know when
it is safe to call me and where you can find me at pretty much any given time.

Monday are kind of a fun day, but very long.
8-9am I am usually working for Debbie Thorton in or around FSB 209
9-10 I have Chemistry 112 with Dr. Diaz but you can catch me coming in or out of FSB 102
10am-1pm I can be found in the MIcro lab with Dr. Roush which is basically the best part of my day. I’ll
probably be in there making media (think gelled urine)
1-2pm is when I usually squeeze in lunch
2-6pm I have Ecology lab with Dr. Richardson. Please don’t call me when I am in this class. I don’t ever have
my cell phone with me, but If I ever forgot and it went off he gives an automatic F.

Tuesday is a slightly shorter day
8-9:15am I have COM 110 lecture (bleh)
9:15-10am I work for Ms. Debbie
10-12pm I am in the Micro lab again
12-12:30 is lunch
12:30-1:45 I have Ecology Lecture
2-3:15 Is the awesomeness that is History of Science and Technology with Dr. Burton. He is a great teacher
and the subject is pretty great as well.
After class this is supposed to be my research day, but I am still working the kinks out.

Wednesday is very long…..very, very, very long
7:05am I pick up the donuts
7:15am I deliver the donuts
7:30-9am we sell coffee and donuts at the TriBeta stand in the Science Building
9-10am CH 112
10-11am I work for Physics and Earth Science probably in FSB Room 221
11-12pm I get to eat lunch with nice people ^_^
12-1pm I have Bioliterature with Dr. Daly. I like this class and I love Dr. Daly.
1-2pm I have a Society of Physics Students Meeting in FSB 221 or I work for Physics some more
2-5pm I have Chem Lab (bleh) It is way too long
5-7 is a mad dash to get ready
7 is services

Thursday is kind of like Tuesday with more homework
8-9:15 COM 110 Lab
9:15-12am Working for Ms. Debbie
12pm Lunch ^_^
12:30-1:45 Ecology
2:00-3:15 Dr. Burton’s madness once again
4:15 TriBeta meeting on the first and third Thursdays of the month that I have to be at cause well, I’m the president.

Friday is my favorite day ^_^
8-9 I work for Ms. Debbie
9-10 CH112
From 10 on I work for various people or I don’t depending upon what I have to get done and what they need
Done

So now I think everyone knows where to find me and when if they need me.
Hope everyone is having a pretty good semester.

I'll eventually post....

Now and then I confess you cross my mind...

In case anyone was wondering I did not fall off the face of the planet. I've been moving, and trying to recover, and going to every sort of doctor known to man, and recovering some more, and trying to figuire out ways to relax. I think I need to relax more often. I'm told that I need to relax. My migraines have gotten considerably worse so my very kind famiy physician has prescribed me a new a medication. Wahoo drugs.....Yeah.

I go back to work today. I'm almost excited, but I wish my break had lasted longer. I didn't get to finish enough cross stitching or enough good books or move enough stuff or mess with enough plants. School starts back tommorow. I am a little excited about that just because I think this will be a better semester then the spring. Spring was terrible. Chemistry may kick my behind but I expected that. Everything else should go swimmingly. I rearanged my scedule so that most of my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday and I only have one class on Friday. I'm taking Ecology, Biolit, Computer Science, Chemistry, and a cool HIstory of Science I class which I am super excited to have aranged my schedule to be able to get into. I never thought I would be able to do it and still take the classes that I needed, but I did.

The only other new thing in my life is not really new it is just hasn't been broadcasted. I met a man. I'll let ya'll interpret that as you will. Have a nice Tuesday.

We are bound for Canaan land...

So life is crazy. I have been meaning to put plant pics up but it just hasn't happened yet. I've been so busy with everything. Taking Micro in the summer is great, but it moves pretty fast. I spend at least 3 hrs a day doing something Micro related. I'm still working in the lab, actually that is where I am sitting right now. I am also still working on my environmental research survey. It is going well.

College View is holding a VBS and Leon Mauldin is teaching the adults, highschool, and college students. It is pretty awesome. Everyone should come. Tonight at 7pm. I know I will be there. We are studying 1 and 2 Peter. I do love to listen to Uncle Leon. Makes me smile.

I got to fry my first green tomato last week, and this week I will get to stew and freeze the first batch of red tomato's. I brought the first cucumber of the season to work with me. I just love my little garden.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant summer. I know I am.

Jess

Well, I almost did die a few months ago! It's a completely non-invasive homeopathic test. And I do have all of those...some amounts more than others. The ones that I don't have a lot of aren't causing me problems...yet.

Also, for whatever reason, blood tests show that my white blood count is relatively normal...no autoimmune, even though I obviously have a BAD HORRIBLE NO GOOD immune system problem. The medical doctors just can't figure out what.

when you get there, be sure to kill all the inhabitants first. Trust no one. And then you must establish the laws of Moses before all the congregation. Failure to comply will result in a perpetual cursed existance. You have one week.

    You desperately need to update.
    by dr_corndog at 08/18/08 10:17PM

Take all of your wasted honor....

It’s been quite a while since I updated on here. Not really a surprising fact considering that I barely even update to the people around me much less the internet buddies. The next two paragraphs are a glorious rendition of ‘Gardening with Jessie’. If you wish to skip it, please do so.

As you all are aware, it is that glorious season known as summer time. In the summer I m always occupied with something. This summer is no exception. I have a huge garden to tend. The backyard alone is full of plants and a stubborn peach tree. I planted 18 veggie rows this year with everything from tomatoes and peppers to melons and scallions. I already have some green tomatoes so I am hoping everything else goes just as well. My herb garden which has Bee balm, Chamomile, Dark Opal Basil, and a few other oddities, has begun to attract these lovely little blue butterflies. It’s amazing because when you get too close they all scatter which causes a mini butterfly tornado. I have a small rose bed, as well as a smatter of roses in the front yard.

The front yard is just as neat this year. Tigrinum (kind of like a Mexican daffodil) lines one side of the walkway and cute little solar lights with interspersed hanging baskets line the other. The front flower beds have everything from Daylilies and Nasturtiums to Sunflowers and Bachelors buttons. I have more flowers then you all care to hear about. The best part of all this is that I grew 90% it from seed, or bulb, or rooting, and what I didn’t get that way came up from last year. I can count on one hand the plants I have bought at full price. Most of the plants I but are the 50-75% off ones at Lowes which were marked down because someone forgot that they needed to be watered.

Moral of the story:

Plant a seed, it warms the heart.

End Rant.

In other me news, I am home again after an amazing Biology convention. I can’t tell you how much I learned and most of you don’t care to know so I won’t expound except to say that if you don’t get involved with whatever you are majoring in then your crazy. I don’t know how people expect to live and get jobs after college when they barely know there advisors and certainly don’t know anybody in the field they want to enter. I suggest you think about the future because it won’t be there if you don’t plan for it.

The convention took place in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati and we got out to see the sights a little. I got to go to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, which was actually the first baseball game I have ever attended. I thought it was amazing. We went to the zoo, the Krohn Conservatory, which had an excellent butterfly house, and the Newport Aquarium. I got to visit Newport on the Levee with a local girl at night and it was amazing. The Ohio River really lights up at night in Cincinnati.

As of Tuesday Microbiology started and I am now deeply enmeshed in Protozoan’s, Bacteria and such. It’s been quite informative so far.

I hope all of you have a lovely summer.
