Prayers for the moms

We are requesting prayers for both our moms and their respective caregivers.
Mike's mother is quickly getting worse. We have seen a definite decline in the last two weeks. The family can no longer leave her on her own. We were blessed with a good day this Sunday. A large part of the family was able to be there. Her face really lit up to see the great grandkids.
My mother is dealing with an increase in dementia as a result of some mini strokes. So by consequence my dad is also having to deal with her. It will probably be at least the end of the month before the doctors have a plan.
The following months will be a challenge for us. I think I may need a clone before we are finished.

Keep us in mind, heart and prayer.

Storms blow through.

We had a stormy night. I might have slept through the whole thing except we had signed up for our emergency response system. Red Alert called the house, the cell, sent txt, and emailed, at 330a, 4a,& 430a. Somewhere in between Neal txt to make sure we were ok.
No damage to any of our places and all is well. Hope everyone else is doing ok too.
Logan just turned 5 and will be in school come fall. The girls are growing great and are on their way to 5 months old.

    I have used apple wood before to smoke my venison and it is good. I like sassafras and hickory best. I read someplace that alder is good wood to smoke meat so I will have to give that a try.---Wayne

Mike has a good report

We are so thankful. Mike's Dr called us himself on Saturday, how thoughtful was that? We didn't have to wait until next week. The path report said that the cancer was fully contained within the prostate and there was none in the surrounding tissue. He is still sore and moving slowly but better each day.

Mike's surgery

Mike is scheduled for prostate surgery tomorrow. It supposed to start at 7:30a and be about 4 1/2 hrs. The plan is for one night in Vanderbilt but could be two.
I will try to update when he is finished.

Prayers please.

Last week Mike had his second prostate biopsy. It came back positive for prostate cancer. He is scheduled for surgery Aug 14 th. He has had on going problems for almost a year now. Hopefully this will solve some of those. He is in a good deal of pain at times and generally has not felt well.
