HI, I've been told about this site from the Pennington family but just signed up with the help of dsh. I'm in Calgary, Alberta,Canada and some of you who know me would know me as Charlene Bailey. My son Ryan and Husband Wayne Bailey both passed away and now I just got married in June to Kelly Kowalchuk. Those who have heard about my life would remember it from BOL. I would love to hear from anyone who sent us cards and notes of encouragement and support - it was very much appreciated and was a great support to us.

Hi Everyone, thankyou for the warm welcome. Donna it's great to know you and Steve arrived home safely. We enjoyed having you here with us so much! It's been busy ever since you left with Deanna and her children being here. They are all sick right now so she is staying for two more weeks to get them all healthy before flying again. That's wonderful news for us. On Sunday we had a lot of visitors at church service due to the chorus compition in town. One couple we met, Robert and Judy Davenport from Nashville are staying around until Wednesday so we invited them to stay at our house and we are so enjoying them! Found out that he actually taught Deanna at FC back in 97. Robert preached Sunday night and it was very encouraging about "Look up", "Get up" and "Don't give up"! Wonderfully put!

Good to hear from you Charlene! I believe we knew Robert Davenport from our years that we lived in Nashville. We don't know his wife. So the Hotel Kowalchuk continues to be open for business. :)

kln said your turkey on Thanksgiving was "fantastic!"

Still trying to get caught up from the trip, but we're getting there.

Welcome to pleo!! I was just in Calgary last week and had a marvelous time! I visited Northside Church of Christ on Sunday, October 7th...what a great group of people!
