I thought I loved you then...

It has truly been a fantastic month. Kristen and Will were married a week ago and all their fabulous friends and family came for the marvelous event. It was wonderful building new friendships and renewing old ones. Seeing the love the two of them have for each other was wonderful and seeing everyone surrounding them wanting nothing but God's blessing to come down on them was wonderful as well. It is hard to describe what a great two weeks it was for all of us but I just know that although Kristen and Will truly love each other now. I want to dedicate this Brad Paisley song to you-

I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
And 3 weeks later in the front porch light taking 45 min to kiss goodnight
I hadn’t told you yet but I thought I loved you then

Chorus
Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I remember taking you back to right where I first met you
You were so surprised
There were people around
But I didn’t care I got down on one knee right there
And once again I thought I loved you then

Chorus
Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I can just see you with a baby on the way
I can just see you when your hair is turning gray
What I can’t see is how I’m ever gonna love you more
But I’ve said that before.

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Well look back some day at this moment that we’re in
And I'll look at you and say and I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then...

I love you guys! Aunt Terri

To the tune of "I Feel Pretty...." I feel blessed, oh so blessed. I am happy and loved and blessed.

I had a great holiday season and I hope you did too. I was busy and stressed just a little by having the Nay gathering at my house and deciding the Friday before that we (as in 20 out of 27 people) should write a letter to my mom and get it to me so that I could put a book together to present to her on Christmas day. On top of that I had company starting on Monday afternoon, a funeral to go to on Tuesday, a Chapman gathering on Weds and kids coming and going all week long. Well, even though everyone was super busy and many of them traveling, everyone was able to get their letter to me except for one person- pretty great for a bunch of procrastinators. It turned out great and Mom LOVED it! We all took turns reading our letter and having alot of laughs and a few tears. We also were able to share the day with Dave McGee, who I have heard about but never met. He was stranded in SF at the airport and Binh went and got him and brought him over. When things like that happen, it reminds you how fortunate it is to be a Christian- that you have family everywhere! I hope you all had a wonderful season as well.

Please pray for Theresa's mom and her family.

One of my TA's, Theresa, mom is really sick. She needs heart surgery and the doctors say that she is too weak to survive. She was really sick last year from a hole in her intestines and almost died. Theresa went from an A student to flunking the last semester of her junior year. She has been working extremely hard to make up her missing credits and has 3 weeks of night school left to go. Theresa is a wonderful girl and ask me to pray for her mom. I am now asking you.

Praise the Lord. She came through her surgery. She should be in the hospital for 2 week but she made it through!

Either there is no reason for Hailey to be jealous or I included her in "My children"

Going back a step or two

While the Antioch Unified School District decided that we need to go back in time. I am pretty sad about it. They approved a new charter school called RAAMP. That originally stood for Reaching African-American Males' Potential but it now stands for Raising Academic Achievement Multi-Cultural Program. I can't believe that African-American people are fighting to be "seperate but equal". Hello, people. Doesn't anyone remember Brown vs. the Board of Education, the Civil Rights movement of the 50's-60's, Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech or that on Nov. 4, the US elected it's first Multi-Cultural president and now color should not matter! If anyone attempted to do a public school aimed at Underachieving Caucasian-American Reaching Their Potential, they would be called a racist, hater, bigot. UCARTP (rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?) would never come into existance with public funds. Don't people realize the answer does not lie in the education system but in the child and the expectations set by their parents. Yes there are exception to the rule but please people work on raising your child, stay involved in their lives, realize they don't know what's best for them and never make an excuse for something they can control- behavior and doing their work.

That is ridiculous for the school district!

Haha, good idea about changing the password. I should do that before anything embarrassing gets posted.
