Ok so I don't like it when tests are given at 6 p.m. on wednesday night especially when services start at 7. Unfortunately my test took too long and I couldn't make it to services :(
In other news, this was my third test this week. Not a fan of that either...
In sports news, yesterday two of my teammates made a bet between each other. The one has the entire year to try to get me to cuss. While it is a great compliment from the second one who trusts that under all temptations I won't give in, it is still disappointing that they are gambling over me. Even more disappointing is that the prize for the "winner" is a six pack of beer from the "loser." I'm not liking this situation. It could turn into a rough year very easily. Pray that they forget this "game" their gambling game. Other than that baseball is going pretty well ..
This has not been my favorite week to say the least especially knowing that I'm not gunna see my favorite person ever this weekend :(
Resent thughts of mine:
Why is it that so many "Christians" like to inch as close to what they believe to be the line between sin and righteousness as they possibly can? Did Jesus teach to get as close as you can to it without touching? Of course not!!! (Read Matt. 5: 27-48 and 2 Tim. 2:22). Remember that you cannot trust your own reasoning (Jeremiah 17:9, Prov. 14:12). Do not dismiss the smallest detail of the scriptures just because "YOU don't think that could be right." It doesn't matter what you think is righteous, it matters what God thinks is righteous (John 12:48) What if your stubborn reasoning has led you to believe the line is in front of you when you have actually crossed it?
I'm scared many of you are letting the perverted world's version of the of the gospel creep in on you. Do not forget the old and new testament examples: If God doesn't want his words followed exactly and specifically, then why did He strike down Uzzah (2 sam. 6), the man of God (1 Kings 13), and Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5) (to name a few). Just because something may seem right in your eyes doesn't mean it is in God's eyes (Num. 24:13, even if it seems good). "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments", John 14:15. Obedience is how we love God in return for his perfect love for us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" ( John 3:16). Obey because it is what you ought to do for your God (luke 17:10). Remember there is ONE faith (Eph. 4:5) so don't listen to anyone that says "I believe ... " or "I think .. " do not trust them unless they can prove it by scripture. Please be careful of the wolves clothed as sheep.
I hope this was of some value to you.
