Where has my baby gone?

Yesterday we celebrated my youngest child's 18th birthday.
It was a happy time and full of excitement for her...not so much for me.
I realize how quickly time is moving and how much my life will be changing in the not so distant future.
This summer our oldest was married. Next fall my youngest heads to FC.
I am completely 100% enjoying these happy times and the memories that accompany them, it's just the realization that my role that I have had for so many years now is about to change so drastically.
Life will go on, lol, and I will survive. I'll look forward to the adventure that lies ahead.

Yes, I had seen it on FB and a few friends left me private messages about it. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting or knowing him, clearly his presence will be missed. Always such a blessing to feel "safe" about the final destination of a soul.

Hope you had a nice Valentine's day too. We went to lectures and then had company this week. Has Julie told you that her father is near death? He has lung cancer (smoked for years) that has gone to his brain. They went to TN last week to see him. He had never seen the grandchildren and she couldn't bear for him to die without doing so. Tho his unfaithfulness broke up our family she still loves his very much and this will be hard for her.

It's raining like crazy here in Victoria! Not only do we need the rain but the temperature outside has cooled down to the low 80's. I'm pretty sure the lightening will prevent the band from practicing outside this afternoon, but they will survive. ;) (And I will have a happy daughter!)
However, the thunder is sounding a bit on the strange side, so I should probably shut this computer down. More later. 3

Where has the time gone?

I suppose that it's time for yet another annual post to my ever faithful Pleonast page. I can't figure out how time seems to move so fast, but here it is, nearly a year and a half since my last post.
For those of you that know me well, you know that life has been filled with so many things to keep me running.
Recently I've found myself missing the small group of friends I have on Pleonast, as opposed to Facebook. I'm *hoping* to make an attempt to keep up with this on a little more steady schedule than once a year. This makes day 2 of checking posts and catching up on things going on with friends. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, so I just need to work on keeping up for 19 more days. :)
So much is running around in my head, I'm not sure how to write about all that has happened in life. For now I will just leave this with a greeting and a hug to all of you.
Hoping your day is going well and that you are accomplishing all that you had hoped on this beautiful day.

It's so great to see your name light up! I look forward to being in touch with you more. We got the nicest card from Danielle last week. It truly lifted our spirits as she included her concern for Gene's situation. We are so blessed to all have one another to pray with and for.

I haven't been on Pleonast in a long long time, and it was really nice to see how many people have actually kept up with it! I'm going to have to try to make a bit more effort. Soon, very soon.
