A new post!!
You might be wonderful what event could warrant a new post. My friend Kacey brought her precious new baby out to Seattle for a couple days, that's what! We had a wonderful visit. It was so much fun to ooh and ahh over baby Statler and just hang out. Here are a few photos so that the rest of you can see how much FUN Seattle really is. David and I LOVE having visitors!
Statler with his big grin!
Kacey entering Pike Place Market for the first time. She has her hot tea and her sleeping baby all slinged up!
Kacey and me at the original Starbucks!
Statler and me just before they caught their plane back to Texas. He is such a cuddler!
We had a weekend filled with fun, a lot of laughing and massive amounts of baby cuddling. Thanks for coming you two!! Love ya.

Gustav Klimt - The Park
happy
holidays!
Thanks for the help with my book. I'm really ready to see the movie, but I'm still going to finish the book first. Yeah, Julie's attitude in the book is so crazy! It makes me wonder if she enhanced her bad qualities in the book since it's autobiographical and possibly she views herself in that way even if others don't? I don't know. I'm just not sure what she has to be such a grouch about. I have to say, though, the book does make me want to buy a copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, just to try some of those amazing recipes she writes about. I like how she pretty much outlines the recipes in the book as she's cooking them. That potato soup she starts with sounds out of this world and totally simple.
I'm reading my latest cookbook right now: the best of Fix It and Forget It Cookbook. It's huge! I'm trying to use my slow-cooker more, so Mom got me this book and it's inspiring me. Good night!
