Well we kinda had a Bible study last Friday but it was sprung on me so I didn't have a chance to get the word out. But the next Bible study will be at Amanda Tyer's house on October 6, 2006 @ 7:00pm. Again bring some snacks and we'll eat a bit first. We may be having a special guest speaker (in other words not me). For directions see the map below.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

Well I've wanted to start this since we moved to Houston and now the time seems right. I was talking to a friend the other day and we were a little discouraged by the fact that we may see people everytime the church doors are opened, but when we hang out outside of the assembly we often fail to resemble Christians. Not that we/they are doing anything wrong, but the spiritual focus seems non-existant.
So in response we're going to have a semi-regular Bible study. Anyone can come but the primary target audience is 20-somethings in the NW Houston area. I'd like to do it at least once a month maybe once ever 2-3 weeks. Probably on Friday nights at someones home. Lessons will be directed by whoever volunteers and will focus on our daily Christian lives (very broad in other words).
The first one will be Friday September 8th at 7:00pm at Allyson and my house (aka the Thornton's house). I'll be teaching. If you come bring some snacks/drinks and we'll have a mini-potluck before hand. If you want more details/directions let Allyson or me know. My cell is 469-855-3116 or my email is bryanb@ectisp.net.
Thanks and hope to see some of you there!

Well it's been a while, actually a long while since I posted a new song that I'm working on. But here I have one, let me know what you think. I'm still working on a second verse, something about baptism. I think I'll call it "Completely".
I lay my head, at Your feet
I close my eyes, what else can I do?
Begin to cry, in my shame
A wayward child, so hurtful to You
You lift my head, dry my tears
You ease my pain, releave my fears
And then a warmth flow over me
You kiss my face, so lovingly
And there I stand and pledge to be
Yours... completely

Well I hoped that with my new job in Houston I would have less time for scouring the internet in hopes of finding something interesting to entertain me. But I was wrong, I have almost as much non-busy time here as I did at my last job. It's hard to find that balance, just busy enough to make the day go by faster without being so busy that you can't keep up and are frusterated.
Anyway the reason I'm posting is to ask for help. Those of you out there with too much time on your hands, what do you do to pass the time. Keep in mind that I am at work and can't really play games or visit some kinds of websites (games, myspace, stuff like that). Currently I frequent
Digg to read up on news and comment on polotics/religion. But I digress, somebody PLEASE HELP ME!!!
