Wow, it has been a long time since I updated! We haven't been up to a whole lot other than just getting life back to normal...We went to Santa Cruz for the Memorial Day weekend, which was SUPER fun...it's always amazing to Matt and I how much fun we have just watching Mikey, we don't even really need to do anything, just watch him and whatever he is doing...For example, it was cold on Sunday but we went to the beach for a while in the evening anyway to let Mikey run around a bit cuz he'd been in services that morning, then in the car, then in the stroller, etc...so we get to the water with our shoes off and I am thinking that as soon as the water touches his toes, he'll be done, it was COLD...But NOPE, he LOVED it...he was running towards the water when the tide went out and then letting it chase him back to where Matt was and a couple times he wasn't fast enough and the wave would knock him over, he had a BALL..he was having so much fun that even strangers were chuckling when he would run by them...SO fun and such good memories...there were some bittersweet moments when we thought about the one person in our family that wasn't there enjoying this with us but I am sure that he is doing his own running and playing :) Anyway, we had a great time and it was AWESOME to get out of the house and out of town for awhile...Hope you all had great weekends too! :) here are some pics from the weekend :)

Just thought I would post a little something so that everyone knows that I am not losing my mind like I am tempted at times to do...Obviously, the last two days have been awful and touching all at the same time...but with Mikey around, there is never a shortage of laughter in our house for which I am SO thankful :) Thanks for all of the words of encouragement and prayers, we really are doing as well as can be expected...Of course, we are sad and wish things were different but we'll be okay...we have a great GOD to comfort us and HE has provided us with great friends and family who are totally there when we need...Tomorrow, we'll have a service for Blake...hopefully, it will give us all a chance to say goodbye, or see you later, rather...and we can start the process of letting life go on...Thanks again, Candee :)

I cannot believe it has been two years all ready since we welcomed little Michael Wayne into the world...I love him so much it hurts and I almost started crying when we sang him Happy Birthday because I can't believe how lucky I am to be his mom...Happy Birthday, bud, I LOVE YOU :)

So last night we were at the Grinnell's and I forgot to bring in Blake's carseat or something for him to sit in while we were eating dinner...so I took Hailey's doll stroller and set him up in it, WAY CUTE...It cracks me up because we have put Mikey, Peyton, and Hailey in this stroller before just playing around and then laughed because they were all busting out of it, but Blake actually fits! HA! Anyway, I forgot my camera but Uncle Timmy saved the day with his :) We didn't keep Blake in it for too long, he is not so much with the sitting up position, he would rather lay down and stretch out :)

Matt wins the award for best dad ever :) He has spent the last two weeks or so buliding a playhouse for Mikey and I have to say kt looks pretty good...so far it has a slide but no ladder :) He is building that tomorrow and today him and Timmy worked on putting pavers in the bottom so it doesn't just have a dirt floor...cuz we CAN'T have that :) anyway! I am SUPER excited for Mikey to get to play in it! :)
