Lyndan has a new job, a good job at Northwest Financial Mutual? I think that's the order of words in the title :) WE are so thankful to God for providing her a new job so quickly after losing the last one.

    Congrats to Lyndan. When we were in Milwaukee, we saw the Northwestern building - it's the tallest building in Wisconsin and there's a state law that keeps any other building from being taller than it. Crazy. Glad she was able to find something quickly.

    My year last year was pretty intense, but I never got around to telling you that Brent and his bride worshipped with us in Kerrville. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet them, but I did think it was cool that they were here. :) I hope you are well way out yonder in the tropics.....

cuz she really needs us to throw her some smiles and hugs right now :) she just got notified that her last day @ her job is Sept 16th...she is just amazing how she writes things right in the middle of hard times. pretty proud of that girl, or mostly I am very, very grateful. thanks to y'all ahead of time.

She now wants to go to FC, and that's fine with me, but busy switching all that over :)Lyndan graduating FSU this coming weekend, Brent getting married the very next, then taking Leah to Tampa after that! August is slammed, but if you know me, you know I LOVE things this way! Happy August to ya!

a whole new world....

so, it's official! i'm an empty nester. sniff sniff. no, i don't like it, but it's as the Lord planned, and I will rejoice with my girl who is on a new adventure :) My yard is wondering who the stranger is walking around in it, yanking things up where it decided things go and I didn't put there! I am praying alot, asking the Lord to let me Hear Him when He tells me the answer to the question I'm asking now of 'what next?' There's a lot of potential...but for just this moment, I am still :) except for the yard yankin...

    {{{ hugs }}} I cannot imagine how it must feel to be an empty nester, especially with how active and vibrant all of the children (now young adults) are in your household. When the fall comes around and the students are back and settled, you can fill your house with them - I know they love home-cooked meals and a place to "get away" to study or relax (or maybe even do a load of laundry)? In the meanwhile, if you get all the weeds, etc. pulled in your yard, my yard is full of them (although if the weeds get all pulled, there might not be any yard left).

    I feel your pain. It's a definite mind adjuster trying to figure "who am I" and what's my purpose? sort of thing! I've got both girls home right now. One who is counting the days to go back to FC and the other counting the days to her wedding! (Jan. 6).
    I'm enjoying EVERY second with them this summer!

    It doesn't take too long to adjust. We actually love it now, not that we didn't love having kiddos running through the house endlessly, but we are so happy "honeymooning" and having lots of time for dates and recreation.
