I was born with a caulk gun in my hands.
Well, I haven't posted in forever, but no one reads this anyway. In fact, I'm kindof over Pleo. I've lost the will to write anything beyond 140 characters. Sad. I used to write all the time.
Daniel and I are remodeling the kitchen. We started Memorial Day weekend and took that week off work. This has taken way longer than we planned, but in the back of our minds we knew that would be the case. To date, the paint is on the walls, the cabinets are installed, and Daniel almost has the floor covered with tile. Tomorrow we will clean and seal it so hopefully we can grout it Sunday afternoon. We're under the gun because the appliances will be delivered Tuesday. I guess it doesn't sound like we've done much, but we've actually pulled a couple of almost all-nighters. This house was built in 1934, so when we ripped everything out, we ran into some issues and had to patch the wall in lots of places. I scraped paint until my arms were numb, and Daniel scraped the floor to get the glue up from the linoleum (sp?) that was underneath tile but on top of hard wood. Very much looking forward to getting the refrigerator out of my dining room, and cleaning up the thick layer of dust that covers everything. Our countertops will be installed July 6th and we hope to be done with everything but backsplash by then. We have to replace the light fixtures and install shelving in the pantry and touch up some paint between now and then - easy.
Now that I've put you to sleep...
Not much else going on. My life is boring. And I like it that way.
28. Netflix through the Wii. No more movie stores for me!
29. The smell of new cabinetry.
30. Being a regular at The Home Depot.
