Thanks for all of the info! I saw the job fair and I plan to try to go. I have started applying and plan to finish my application this weekend. When are you moving to the area? When are you getting married? Its a nice area and we're looking forward to being there! I don't know if I would be qualified to do ESL. I am applying for math jobs, but have considered taking the "ESL supplemental certification". Do you know if that is what they're looking for in ESL type jobs?

Prayer Request

I would like to ask for everyone to pray for me in the next few months. I have begun looking for a job and have found the job I want at the school I want. I fully and completely realize that getting what I want is not something to ask everyone to pray about. What I would like for everyone to pray for me is that I find a teaching job. There are a lot of schools in the Austin area and I'm going to be highly qualified for them but I am a first year teacher and this has probably been the most anxious I've ever been. Ask Melinda.

I know this is all in the Lord's hands but hopefully with my persistence in prayer and yours as well the Lord might grant this request. If I get a job in Austin then I can support myself and Melinda and marriage will be much easier.

Thank you
  • plato
I will pray that you and Melinda end up in Nacogdoches. That is all.

PPR

Passed it.

On to my other tests.

I enjoy talking to others candidly about issues. Several of you are really good about talking and not getting angry about the discussion.

Thank you.

That is my up date.

PS How's the Spring of Ellen going?
  • elleymaie
Hahaha! No spring yet; we are nearing the end of The Winter of Ellen and it has been great... There's still a little snow on the ground!

(A Controversial Religious/Political Title Here)

Lately a lot of people have been pleonasting and facebooking controversial stuff. Politics and the politics in religion are some of my least favorite things on earth. I don't mind talking politics if it can be unemotional and candid. The moment it gets emotionally charged I feel the need to make fun of that person or take the opposite side of what they are saying. I'm sure Justin can testify to this. Politics in religion is the worst. Bar none.

Money is probably the thing I hate most in all the world. I associate it most closely with Satan.

I was trying to think of something to say that would stir up a discussion and this is what I came up with.

1) If Stonewall Jackson were still alive would he dress up for services?
2) How much chicken grease would it take to give Shane his usual bath?
3) How many corduroy jackets does Travis have?
4) How bad of a speller am I?
5) Who has more fire power, the state of Montana or the combined arsenal of east texas preachers?
6) How bad of a speler am I?
7) On a scale from Justin to Zach Olsen, How big is Shane?

    3) 2 corduroy. 4 total blazers.
    1) One of my corduroy jackets, most likely.
    5) Preachers. Of which Justin comprises 67% of the fire.
    7) Physically: tinzac; Morally: Zach Olson* minus Justin.

    4) Q&A number 7 suggests fairly bad.

There is no controversy in your post because they can all be definitively answered.

1.) Stonewall could not dress up for services if he were alive today because he would be engaged in warfare and would only be able to assemble in full battle rattle in case he was called on to make war half-way through services.
2.) There is no known amount for this because Shane uses however much grease is available. He has not yet had any left over regardless of how much was available.
    3.) 57
4.) The worst. And it's "Olson," so case in point.
5.) Let us not underestimate our Montanan brethren. I vote for them. This also gives me leverage with Kelly to allow more firearm purchases.
6.) Not only are you the worst speller, you are also a forgetful idiot. Just saying.
7.) This scale covers "skinny" to "tall and skinny." And there is not a scale big enough to fit Shane on anyways.

While I will agree with most of your answers, my original is admittedly flawed. I disagree with the skinny to talk and skinny. It is stated more properly as blond skinny to second largest man. Shane being the largest man. Notice i said man, this does not include your mother who would be the largest person.

.......... I'm stuck somewhere between irresistible laughter and unjustifiable annoyance. Regardless, I believe that you vastly under estimate the number of corduroy shirts that Travis has, as well as the combined weight and mass of Justin + Zach. But I completely agree that the world + all of us in our fatness could never come to the mass of Justin's Mother. Kudo's to Ellen for an excellent comment as well.

    Is the answer ... choice "A" - mississippi river, amazon river .. . .?

    2. The grease traps at the back of Chicken E. are colected and then vended straight to a 30,000 gallon tank that resides in a cool shaded area below the river.

Mr Ferguson

Its not weird to hear high schoolers call me that. I don't know why people always think its weird for people to call them "Mr" or "Mrs." Most of the time I think its because they don't want to feel old. I've been old my whole life so I guess that's why I don't care.

My online class is way too much work. It is to prepare me to take my PPR and I've already been cleared to take the test. I will take it on February 18th and when I pass it I will be taking that stupid class to prepare for a test I've already passed. Oh and it gets better, if I pass the class all I get is a "pass" for a grade. It doesn't even count on my GPA. So to sum up my semester: I am paying a lot of money to work a full time job with no pay and working way to hard for a test that I can already pass and will pass for the class will be over.

How's life with you?
  • plato
Yea, we thought it would prove humorously ironic when we hang it off a balcony that way.

Yes. Brehmer is cynical. Unbearably cynical. He's like those hardcore Republicans or Democrats who go bonzos in one direction and perceive everything through those narrow tunnel visioned glasses, and then drill it in to everyone they're around all the time. Except he does it with cynicism. However, because I'm not used to it, and though it's suffocating, it's kind of refreshing and somehow I come off humored by him and actually think he's cool.
